Flavorful food! - Edit
Food choices for vegetarians are broad and delicious. We've tried five different dishes and would order them all again - and we will return. Their coffee is really good too - when we asked if they had oat milk for our coffees, they replied that they only had oat milk.

Five stars - Edit
Took my omnivorous Mexican parents and we all loved our food. The ropa vieja was delicious, the Jamaica was so flavorful even when my ice melted, tortillas were delicious, service was quick and friendly. Look no further, I was in town for only the evening and am very satisfied with our decision to eat here. We need more places like this!!!

I go to la chaiteria and tumerico constantly. The vegan cuban tacos are some of my favorite tacos ever. You can also buy big bags of jackfruit carnitas to bring home. A favorite!!!

Not surprisingly, it was amazing - Edit
Tumerico is my favorite vegan restaurant in the world so when I found out they had this sister restaurant I knew I had to try it. They have basically the same vegan menu as Tumerico but they also have meat options. This is great for my family and friends who aren’t always down to just do vegan food. I always get the Ropa Veija Plate - it’s too good to stray to anything else. Their jamica is also amazing.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Edit
Latin American cafe that specializes in delicious vegan food with omnivore options, which I appreciate because people I dine with aren’t all vegans. The Cuban tacos with a tasty kale salad, Spanish rice and refried beans are delicious. Menu changes frequently.

Should be 5 stars - Edit
Favorite place to go in Tucson. This is the sister restaurant of the vegan/veg restaurant Tumerico but this one also has meat. So when I have family/friends that aren’t stoked on fully veg, this is a great option. There burritos are grilled to perfection and if you love a dish (like ropa vieja!) you can just turn it into a burrito. Sometimes they have music and/or local vendors out on the patio on the weekends too. Good vibes!

My favorite meal! - Edit
I can’t stay away from the vegan Ropa Vieja burrito with sides! It is legitimately my favorite meal I’ve ever eaten. I used to visit twice a week when I lived in Tucson. The Frieda kahlo tostadas are also pretty good, and a great way to try traditional Huitlacoche. They also sell dry goods and fresh produce which is very unique! You have to try!

Finally got to try this! - Edit
I'll have to remember that they have vegan tamales in the refrigerator to take home. My grandson and I stopped today to get takeout for lunch. Very tasty! He picked the restaurant, but didn't realize that it was all vegan or vegetarian (not that he minds)...he thought that he was eating meat.

Best Vegan Tamale Plate in town - Edit
The vegan Tamale Plate is outstanding. It comes with their delicious rice w/broccoli & carrots, fresh spinach salad, and pinto beans. The To-Go containers are compostable and the foil is recycleable.

FYI: La Chaiteria is NOT a vegetarian or vegan restaurant. They serve meat, etc. also. They are NOT owned by Tumerico. Wendy of Tumerico assisted them with their vegan menu offerings.

Amazing local vegan fare! - Edit
Tumerico does it again! This is Chef Wendy's third location (La Chaiteria by Tumerico), and the food is similar to what's served at the original location on 6th and the 4th Ave. spot. My personal favorites are the Cuban tacos/burro and al pastor tacos/burro. (And if you can't decide, they'll let you do one of each!) This location offers yoga and a small store, along with a salsa bar.
