Small Portions, Expensive

The food was great and inventive. I just thought that the prices were a little too high for the portions.

Ottimo cibo

Pros: Completamente vegan

Nope

Not impressed. Waited an hour, sitting on some very uncomfortable chairs, for even only the appetizers to come out. The food was good but overpriced.

Pros: good food, good portions for the main courses

Cons: service is slow, uncontrollable seats, overpriced

To much food

We went here for new years to ty the New Years menu, we were chocked wen we saw the 8 dishes! And after 4 we were so full! We had to take he dessert with us. The sample menu was not a sample menu it was eight big dishes of food. Also the food wasmostely bland! And the restaurant was almost empty. And it took us four hours to finish.

Pros: Nice waiter

Cons: Too much bland food , Far away, Slow service

Delicious food

Very tasty and innovative vegan restaurant in the outskirts of Rome. I had lunch in la Capra Campa on a Sunday and the food was delicious. Both the raw and cooked items were very nicely conceived and very flavorful. The zucchini raw pasta and the cacio pepe pasta were my favorites. This restaurant produces its own artisanal plant-based cheese and they offer a degustation plate that is delicious.

Delicious Italian food, veganized.

La Capra Campa is a small but cosy restaurant with outside seating, a little outside the city centre and the tourist attractions but well worth the trip out. The menu is inventive, offering vegan versions of traditional Italian dishes and even homemade nut cheeses that have been seasoned for a month. You can also buy these in blocks. The food was exceptional - some of the best I've had - especially the seitan dishes. Even though we were stuffed we managed room for dessert, and I was particularly impressed by the cardamom and bergamot cream.

A vegan gem!

What a lovely little place. Calling ahead is a good idea, as it's only small, but it's well worth the tram trip from central. Fresh, authentic Italian vegan food, including homemade Parmesan and pasta! All very tasty and at a reasonable price. The staff we very friendly too, and made great recommendations. I would certainly go again.

Pros: Fresh and organic, Homemade, Authentic Italian

Good value vegan

We visited this restaurant for lunch, the menu was not extensive but everything we had was tasty and well presented. The desserts were excellent. It was good value, a main dish being 7euros and desserts 4 euros. A small but pleasant outside space made it a nice visit, although it is a distance from the city centre. If you're nearby it's worth a visit - oh and the waitress was very friendly and spoke good English.

Pros: good value, friendly staff

excellent

UPDATED
The dishes are all vegan, the staff is vegan and very friendly.
Seitan is excellent, as everything else we tasted so far.
Organic/vegan wine.
Prices are very fair, given the quality.

You can eat inside or outside.
In 2014 they moved to a place much easier to reach, and they changed their formula from classic restaurant to bistrot, no service at tables.

You should definitely try it if you have the chance. :)

***

Not easy to reach, the place is nice and quiet, outdoor space very pleasant during summer evenings.
Some dishes are special, with particular combinations, like 'lasagnetta croccante'.
Good house wine (biodynamic and vegan), the desserts are not bad but not exceptional.
Friendly and vegan staff. IMO not cheap, especially considering the servings size.
