Yummy vegan tacos - Edit
The vegan food scene in Whis is not the best I’ve seen, but when I found out one of my old fave Whistler lunch spots had vegan options I had to try.
Read more3 vegan taco option included Jackfruit, vegan chorizo, and mestizo (Mexican rice and refried beans). In all honesty they are nothing to write home about, but they were fresh and well seasoned and certainly hit the spot. The avocado salsa that came on them all was also delicious. Tacos are quite small and about $5 each, they recommend 4 tacos for a full meal.
It looks like they have a vegan burrito and bowl option which I would love to try next time I’m in Whistler.

Fast food style - Edit
They have a few vegan taco options which are good but it’s was a fast food style of restaurant. Food is served very quickly. The frozen margaritas were soooo good

Nothing amazing - Edit
Got one of each of the three vegan tacos. They recommend 4 but knew I would eat again that evening given I’d been skiing. You order at the cashier which had 3 waitering staff for a small restaurant which was a bit over the top! For Whistler, these were good and affordable but if located in a less expensive town, I’d have probably given three stars. Avocado and herbs made these taste fresh but would have liked more spice for bolder flavours.

Maybe tacos next time? - Edit
Got the jackfruit bowl. It was good but nothing overly special. The portion size was spot on the flavour just fell a bit flat for me. Seating was limited and we got there early. The energy of the place was really great. The service was lovely. I would go back but maybe try the tacos instead.

Fine. - Edit
Good. Not great. Got the four vegan tacos. The jackfruit was the best of the bunch and the others were pretty forgettable.

Good, Not Great - Edit
The tacos (4' soft corn tortillas) are pretty decent and are clearly labeled vegan. We asked if in the burrito or bowl we could sub the sour cream and feta for guacamole and was told 'there are no substitutions', which is disappointing to say the least, because of course, no price reduction for omitting dairy but there'd be an uncharge for guacamole. The bowl was a lot of shredded iceberg lettuce. The burrito was just ok. I'd personally stick with the tacos.

Super yum vegan burrito - Edit
I have to say, the burrito I ate here is one of the best burritos I've ever had. Period. I was surprised, because I didn't expect to be wowed. It had so many delicious fillings giving it an incredible flavor. Highly recommend.

Great food but spicy - Edit
Awesome food, tacos a bit small maybe get a couple to fill up. But dam the burritos are massive, if your not into spicy foods ask for ya Burrito without the salsa on top. The waitress was accommodating to vegans

some vegan options - Edit
Not too much choice in Whistler but this place has some marked vegan options. However be aware the tofu burrito is not default vegan so you have to ask for no cheese and sour cream. It wasn't marked vegan though, so the issue raised in previous reviews may have been fixed. However I expect most people wanting a tofu burrito are vegan! Luckily the staff seemed pretty perceptive on our order and checked to make it vegan, so that was good. I had delicious soft tacos, there are two vegan flavours

Great vegan burrito - Edit
Had a very tasty tofu burrito here with extra guacamole. They come with feta cheese on top so make sure for a vegan one you ask for one without. It was spicy and full of fresh veg, tofu, beans and rice.

Great for vegans! - Edit
A new little café by the owners of The Mexican Corner restaurant. 6 vegan options on the menu! Wow! I didn't even have to ask them to modify any of them. Great to have another place that is good for vegans to eat in Whistler.

Vegan menu items include cheese - Edit
Feta cheese is not vegan. We've explained this to the staff when placing orders on three separate visits in 2015 and 2016, but a "vegan" option on the menu both in the restaurant and online still includes feta cheese. Would love to keep coming back if we could feel confident that the menu is labeled correctly. If something as obvious as cheese is labeled incorrectly, what other animal products might be hiding in the beans, tortillas, etc?
