Best salads

The best salads I have tried so far in Toronto. So many options. They have granola, pancakes, soups, stews, salads, cookies, bars, lattes, juices, etc. All vegan. Yes, little bit pricey (~$13/salad) but so worth it! One negative thing I can say is that they tend to make to go portions smaller than dine-in portions. I have often had half the amount of salad then usually when I dine in. At one point it was less than half a box and I paid $15. I was still so hungry after I finished it in few minutes.

Pros: Dine in - portions bigger, Delicious salads, dressings, Friendly staff

Cons: To go portions may be smaller, Very busy at lunchtime

Fresh and filling

I needed something quick and filling in an area of downtown I haven't been to for some time, and Happycow said this was closest. I'm glad I went!

The set up is simple and clean, with shared tables and bright open cases and lots of windows. My meal came amazingly fast, within two minutes of ordering, and it was perfect. Fresh, filling, tasty, and very reasonably priced, though not inexpensive.

Pros: Fast service, Fresh, Filling portions.

Cons: Restaurant was rather noisy

Not the greatest

I was so ready to like this place ....
I arrived starving for a late lunch. I saw a previous great review for the First Canadian Place bowl and decided to try it. I also saw Tonica Kombucha on tap and went to order some. But they said they didn't have any available. That was too bad...
My order came out fast but the Kale was half yellow, wilted and rotting - it was, very unappetizing! I question how they could have not noticed it. I returned it to the counter asking they re-make it. I waited quite a while as staff got preoccupied with other walk-ins and they totally forgot about my order. After 10 minutes, someone brought my replacement. But ...the bowl still had the rotted kale, not much had changed! I returned the bowl again to the counter and the staff apologized offering me a full refund or something else. I would have left and gone elsewhere but I was very hungry. They suggested I order something without kale. I thought that was strange since so many of their dishes include it. Did they have better kale that I didn't get yet?. I decided on the 'Almond Lime' bowl which wasn't supposed to have kale. This time, my order came out quickly - although they were very stingy on the quantity of food. This bowl had a lot less than the previous two. Maybe this dish was supposed to be this way? I found a little bit of kale in the bowl in the same condition - I assume it was there by accident? I was too hungry to say anything further so I removed it and kept eating. They came over to get my bowl after I was finished and never asked me how I liked it. It was the same person who brought over the other bowls, she would have known something was going on? I left still hungry and went to another vegan place to get coffee and dessert. Overall, I was very disappointed on the lack of quality and customer service at this place.
I am not sure I would go back, there are a ton of other Vegan restaurants in Toronto to try.

Pros: Menu options: all day breakfast, baked goods , location

Cons: food quality, customer service, Poor quantity/value for price paid

Great options for when you're on the go! Super quick service and a great range of flavours. Service was awesome and will definitely be back to try their other bowls!

A healthy, quick lunch option

K&K offers a quick vegan, wheat-free lunch option. I ordered the First Canadian Place, which was an excellent mix of warm, hearty foods (quinoa, roasted yam, tempeh) and fresh vegetables (shredded carrots, kale, beets, cabbage, radishes). The pomegranate was a delicious addition.

Pros: Healthy, Wheat-Free
