Veggie section in menu, friendly owner - Edit
This is a nice place run by a friendly Brit. There is a dedicated veggie section on the menu plus they have a board with specials which includes a veggie bean burger. The papaya salad was very spicy but we asked for it this way and the owner warned us! The fried pineapple rice was standard but nice. It was the burger that was disappointing - dry with not much flavour and lacking any garnish inside like onions or pickles, it just had some ketchup. Said skin on fries (like homemade) but they were just oven fries. Plus the vegan bun was a charcoal one that had an unsuitable sweet flavour. The food took a long time to come out, especially for other diners around us. However they do have a sign up saying there is only one chef so it might take a while 😉

The people are very kind and welcoming. The food tastes grate as well. Best food we had so far on Koh Kut. Highly recommend.

Only negative aspect: the portion size may be small depending on the dish. We came here twice because the food was delicious and the service excellent. The host is the most hospitable person we met on the island and can help you with anything. Our favorite dish is the Fried Rice with Pineapple, Raisins and Vegetables.

Vegan options! - Edit
As one of the very few places on Koh Kood with a vegan section on the menu, and with plant based milk available for your coffee, Kuba is already a must visit. Add to that that the food is very good and reasonably priced. The plant based vegan burger was a nice change from “pad Thai with vegetables” that I’ve had way too often in Thailand.

Eine eigene Seite im Menü für veganes Essen. Das habe ich so noch in keinem Restaurant auf Ko Kood erlebt. Extrawünsche werden auch angenommen, sie sprechen perfektes Englisch.

A lovely experience! - Edit
Very glad we chose to go to Kuba Lounge for a late lunch today. The Steamed Tofu with Mushroom and Ginger was beautifully fresh and tasty as was the Pad Thai which the owners adapted to make vegan-friendly! Clear that the owners take a lot of care and pride in the taste and presentation of their dishes 😀😀😀! Five stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

No es un restaurante vegano, pero Kung y Baz ( los dueños) adaptan los platos. La comida es fresca y sabrosa. Ellos plantan varias verduras y hacen su propio pan. El sitio es agradable.

Great food, many vegetarian and vegan options - Edit
I give 4 stars because I don't have the option to give 5 stars. One of my favorite places in Koh Kood. It offers many vegetarian options and many of the Thai dishes can be vegan as well. They don't use MSG or palm oil. The vegan burger is delicious and all the food is fresh, the bread is homemade, the vegan fruit ice cream is delicious and they even have hydroponic lettuce in the garden. The owners are lovely and always very attentive to every detail.
