Disappointing

The food was okish, the service as well and vegan choices were only a few....
I got a potato dosa and it was pretty expensive. Plus they do not accept cards

Place changed a bit or its different one

Its different than according to preview reviews, more like restaurant than a buffet, its quite good though. A bit small dishes and pricey, masala tea is really good. Have menu, owner speaks English

Pros: Clean, Friendly staff speaking English , Quite good

Cons: Small portions, A bit pricey

Best and cheapest vegetarian/Indian food

I went to this restaurant every dinner for a week because I really liked the food! It is a buffet of different Indians dishes served with rice. Self-service. We put a lot in our plates and they always charged us the same amount (7 ringgits per plate). Make sure you ask for the price before because we heard that other people were charged way more than us! For me, this is the best vegetarian restaurant in Ipoh.

Pros: Really cheap , Huge portions, Tasty food

Cons: Less choices available in the evening , No prices indicated

cheap and tasty

There's no menu, so a former knowledge of Indian dishes helps (: Masala thosai was tasty and lemon tea it was about 5RM, delicious Coconut chutney!!

Lots of snacks to look at and choose from, small comfy interior, easy to find - will head back

Vegetarian, has a lot of history

Pros: cheap, the coconut chutney/ sauce is the bomb

Cons: no menu to look at

great choice for local Indian food

A local restaurant with 100% vegetarian Indian food. Some vegan options. Not all breads are available all day. Lunch and afternoon only Puri was available. I was told that Tosai is only available in the morning (vs earlier reviews here). Very inexpensive! 2 Puri with 3 vegetables and daal for 10RM.

Pros: Easy to find by walking from Old town

Cons: A bit limited menu, got to eat what's there.

Very good

Self serve buffet style vegetarian curry with rice (including mock chicken if that takes your fancy). There's about 8-10 different curry choices and the 4 I chose were delicious. Comes with 2 papadums. Full plate + can of drink + papadums cost rm8.

Pros: Self serve (choice of amount etc) , Delicious , Close to little India and old town

Cons: Coke was warm (ice was an option but didn't risk)
