Unique cuisine where everything is delicious - Edit
The koshari is very delicious and I highly recommend. They changed the menu and the koshari only comes in one size for $14 and it's not as big as it used to be.

Must try vegan Egyptian ! - Edit
This is definitely worth a trip out to Somerville. We ordered some lentil soup, the maze platter and the spinach stew and it was way more than enough for two of us. You could make a meal of just the mezzes—they’re all so good. The hummus was my favorite and my partner was really into the Muhammara and the mint yogurt. The main was also excellent, a spinach and split dal stew. I enjoyed it with the Narr hot sauce. 😁 highly recommend it.

Made my date night perfect - Edit
This was the best night out I’ve had with my husband in a long time. The food was spectacular - I suggest the mezze platter so you can try everything, and of course the koshari. The mushroom fritters they had as a special were divine. The atmosphere and quality of service were top-notch and we will absolutely be coming here regularly. Could not be happier.

Egyptian street food. What's not to like!
Read moreAs I recalled, this is owned by a mother and daughter whose (mother/grandmother) inspired the recipes from her home country.
Wonderful felafel and many other options.
Anxious to go back and try many more of the wide variety of dishes they have available.
Pros: Delicious food, Uncommon fare you won't find elsewhere in the area, Home cooking street food at its best
Cons: Nothing to dislike!

Terrific all-vegan restaurant - Edit
We’ve never had Egyptian food before and we absolutely loved our dinner at Koshari. The tabbouleh and baba ganoush appetizers were great. We both had the Koshari for dinner - really delicious and very generous portions. If you go, save room for dessert because both the Bread Pudding and Mango Mousse (which was a special) were excellent.
Read moreMy one small complaint is that we felt rushed by the staff. We had barely had any of our appetizers when our entrees came out.

Great restaurant 😀 - Edit
We really wanted to eat at this restaurant during our stay in Boston and it was worth it! The food was super tasty and filling. We had lentil soup and cucumber mint dip with pita as starters and koshari and mushroom shawarma as main courses. We took half of the koshari home with us and are looking forward to the rest the next day. The medium hot sauce was pleasantly spicy. The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxed and the team very friendly, courteous and easy-going. I can highly recommend the restaurant.

Great late lunch after hike - Edit
Cute establishment. Great friendly service. Wonderful meal. I had the Muhammura - great pita bread toasted and tasty dip. Koshari for lunch with medium spice. Sauces come on the side so you can control the heat. Wonderful presentation, good lunch portion, tasty flavors with medium heat. Ingredients well done and nice combination, never have had Egyptian food before.

OMG - Edit
The most delicious food ever. My hubby and I went in a romantic dinner and got the Egyptian 'meat' balls and the baby okra stew they both were amazing!!!!! But the deserts were the best ever! We had the Om Ali and Konafa pair with the Sahlab and both deserts were extremely good. The only thing is that the size of the portions are small. Hummus was a tiny portion so be aware that it will be a fancy $$$ BUT extremely yummy dinner! ( If you are sharing deserts be careful it's soooo delicious that your partner may steal your portion like my husband did :/)

Love it! I ordered the falafel which was savory and just perfectly cooked. The falafel plate came with hummus, tahini, and some amazing green dressing. I also got some muhammara dip and it is SO GOOD. This will definitely be a must visit every time I come into town. #Veganuary

possibly the best food i’ve ever had - Edit
i’ve never had egyptian food before, and i was definitely NOT disappointed. my fiancé and i split everything. we got the eggplant fries and the muhammara to start. the aioli that came with the eggplant was delicious! so flavorful. the bread that it came with was really good with the muhammara, which was similar to a roasted red pepper hummus.
Read morefor mains we split the koshari and the torli. i LOVE all the individual ingredients in the koshari, and together they were incredible. we ordered it with medium spice. the torli had wonderful flavors.

All Around Amazing - Edit
We had our first visit this week and we’re already planning our next! Delicious, flavorful, lovingly prepared food in a super cozy, friendly and welcoming space. What more could you ask for? We had two their special appetizers and their signature dish, koshari. Light but incredibly filling and the rice came molded into a pyramid shape adding fun to the feast! Finished it all up with a piece of lightly sweetened almond cake. Wow, just wow. In a town struggling to get truly amazing vegan food right, you can’t miss with Koshari Mama.❤️

SO GOOD - Edit
Just got the 8oz Koshari bowl and a side of baba ganoush and I was stuffed after the bowl. A 16oz bowl is definitely two very solid meals and only $11. I wasn’t sure what to expect based on the description of the Koshari, but it’s seriously so flavorful. I used all the sauce and I think I’ve ascended to garlic heaven. Folks don’t lie, this place is a steal. The only downside is it’s not closer to me so I can go all the time now that I know how good it is. 🥲

Top 5 Best Meals - Edit
The food was incredible and unique. The atmosphere and service was also outstanding. Seriously top 5 vegan meals I've ever had. The koshari and the mezza platter (red pepper one, creamy dill one and fava bean falafel) were phenomenal. 10/10. Will travel back to Boston to eat here again.
