Pretty plates, small portions.
As expected, Kopps was an expensive restaurant. We knew that from the start. Service was very friendly and knowledgeable, even with us English speakers who knew no German. They really accommodated us and were very nice.
The plates were a work of art and impressive to look at but I have to say that I was left a little bit disappointed.
The starters were delicious and led us to a good start. But the courses afterwards took a very long time and left us wanting more.
For the main, we chose the asparagus and the notes were a little confusing. The best bite of the plate was the potato and the asparagus was perfectly cooked, but we still felt hungry afterwards.
As for dessert, I don’t recommend the hazelnut plate, as we both prefer our desserts to be a little sweeter. I guess we didn’t understand the plate but we didn’t like it.
Kopps is a special experience in itself - the wine was great and the plates were a true piece of art, maybe we just didn’t chose the right plates for our palates.

räuchertofu anyone? - Edit
We went here for brunch but were disappointed that almost all of the food featured the same smoked tofu and the rest were based on seitan. If you do not love these ingredients go somewhere else (for brunch). The cakes and pancakes were OK, but not more than that. The place is nice with a clean design, although a bit plain and not very cosy. I will not go back.
