Best vegan lunch/dinner in town - Edit
They may change dishes available everyday although they have own menu . The food is very good ; I specially like the okra dish and yesterday I tried the vegan chicken korma and it was wonderful. They have also drinks with ginger beer. Alcoholic or non-alcoholic. I specially like ginger beer. Also I love the platanos (bananas) that they always offer in the dish, it gives always a sweet touch in the food from Jamaica.

A good surprise! - Edit
I wouldn't have known there was a jamaican restaurant in Inverness if I didn't search on Happy Cow!
Read moreThe vegan menu was full of options and it was not easy to choose. The dish I got was a bit simple but really nice.
The atmosphere of the place was chill and the waiter was nice and friendly.
Pros: The chill atmosphere , Vegan menu full of options
Cons: My dish was a bit simple

Great and surprising find in Inverness - Edit
We went here as it came up at the top of my Happycow search of Inverness. And it did not disappoint!
Read moreThe restaurant had a separate vegan menu, of which only two options were available on the night we visited. I still very much enjoyed my meal though - I had callaloo and okra, a dish I'd never tried before.
We also enjoyed a few cocktails, which were very tasty and strong! The cocktail menu was very extensive!
The presentation of both food and drinks was also very pleasing.
All in all, an authentic Jamaican experience with a friendly, knowledgeable waiter and an impeccable vibe (not sure about some of the music choices though - how does Eminem fit?)

Excellent Flavors & wide variety of choices - Edit
Asked for the vegan menu and quite surprised by all the options. We enjoyed the spicy sweet potato wedges as a starter along with cocktails. We shared two entrees: vegan stewed pulled pork and butternut squash risotto. Both were delicious and flavorful. Would highly recommend both. Adequate portions to share. Server was very friendly and we did not wait long as described by other reviewers.

An unexpected vegan option - Edit
I didn't expect that one of the strong vegan contenders in the Scottish Highlands would be a Jamaican restaurant! They have a separate fully vegan menu available. I got the vegan chicken korma, and enjoyed having some good mock meat for the first time on my travels. Everything flavorful and cooked to the perfect texture, and a large plate size that filled me up. Cocktail menu looked intriguing for those who like that thing.
Read moreOnly con was service was quite slow despite not being too busy - I think our order was taken after 15 mins, we received our food 30 mins after that, and we were able to get the bill 45 mins after that. Scottish service seems to run slower than US service as a rule, but this place more so. So allow ample time!
Other plus is they are open very late in a city where most other options past 8-9 pm are pubs.

Delicious Caribbean food and cocktails - Edit
Laidback little restaurant in the centre of town, excellent and tasty food, with multiple vegan options (see dedicated menu, ask the waiter for it). The cocktails are fabulous, made with really good rum. They also have aged rums available to drink neat, if you’d like a change from scotch 😉

Good for something different - Edit
They have vegan sides listed on the main menu but you need to ask for vegan menu to get the mains. They only had 2 out of the 4 dishes listed available: okra/calloo dish and a vegan pulled pork dish. The portions are big and come with rice and peas and plantain. The food is filling & good although not that special and it was a shame that so few vegan options were available. They have Jamaican soft drinks available (not on the menu) & cocktails. The atmosphere is nice and chilled with good reggae music

Absolutely loved it - Edit
Food was super tasty. There were a few vegan options, too. The chef who was also the waiter who was also at reception was hilarious and kept us entertained. Cosy atmosphere with Jamaican music.

Pros: Theoretisch viele versch. vegane Gerichte, preislich in Ordnung, Kartenzahlung möglich
Cons: praktisch weniger vegane Gerichte

Good atmosphere - Edit
We enjoyed what we had but were still a little hungry when we left.
Read moreThe vegan menu inside was more limited (4 options) than what was on the boards outside (8 options).
The pulled jackfruit wasn't really pulled, there was still mostly chunks of jackfruit in the pulled braised jackfruit dish. Flavours were good though.
The cocktails were great and we enjoyed the 80s pop music.
Pros: Plantain was great, Good atmosphere , Nice cocktails
Cons: More limited menu inside , Smallish portions

Flavorful food - Edit
I would give this place 5 stars if I could.
Read moreDecor can come off a little cheesy but the food is really good! Some of the most flavorful food I’ve had in Inverness so far. The staff was very nice and accommodating with making food vegan.
The options were limited, they have a menu in the front that lists lots of vegan options but when I ordered there were only 2 the waiter said they had available at that time.
Those two dishes are delicious and definitely worth trying out!
It could be that they have more options available at different times of the day, I went for dinner.
Overall, very good food and would recommend!
Pros: Super flavorful food, Good prices, Friendly staff
Cons: Limited vegan options
