Simply incredible! - Edit
Kong totally wowed us. We had cauliflower wings and croquettes to start which were tasty and plentiful, but the big wow factor came from the ‘steak and egg’ dish, served with a side of rice, salad and fries (a very generous portion too!). Honestly incredible. This was so tasty and a really cool concept for me. We concluded with the Nutella cake and the parfait for dessert – I highly recommend the parfait, what an amazing combination of mango and chocolate. Definitely go if you’re in Lisbon. I hope to return someday.

Delicious but not filling - Edit
Delicious vegan restaurant, we got the octopus which was very good but the portion is very small for the price, we were still hungry after. So I would recommend ordering a side of rice at least because one main course is not enough.

The food was amazing! A dream come true for every vegan and a perfect Place to experience traditional portuguese kitchen😍 the staff was super friendly too. Maybe a reservation especially on the weekend would be recommended, as it was quiet busy!

The menu isn’t huge, but this isn’t a big deal since the options are all great. We had the octopus, steak and the croquettes for an app. We also got the snickers tart and the nata tarte

Lovely food - Edit
The food was lovely, especially the croquettes and 'steak and egg'. I'd love to know how they make the egg as it's delicious. I also really enjoyed the mango lassi. Two minor criticisms: the berry lemonade is 10% fruit bits, 40% foam, 50% drinkable liquid, so small drink overall; the timing for food was a bit off, 1 starter arrived ages before the others and we were still eating (not slow eaters) when the mains arrived.

Fantastic Portuguese Food! - Edit
We stumbled upon this place and what a happy accident. The most delicious food! I’d been wanting to try more authentic Portuguese food (that’s vegan!) and had not had much luck until here. Their dish of the day was a feijoada and it was sublime!!!! It was a perfectly filling, but not stuffing meal that was so fresh and full of flavor. I had it with the mango lassi. My partner had the house iced tea which was light and the Francesinha and he ate the entire thing! It looked rich and fulfilling. I highly recommend this vegan spot to all.

Bit of a weird one - Edit
The food was nice enough and I guess it was my fault for ordering what I ordered. It was a sandwich that looked like SpongeBob SquarePants. Still, it tasted alright.

Delicious Portuguese - Edit
I was looking for traditional Portuguese and thankfully found this place. The food is absolutely delicious, so flavourful. It was hard to decide what to have - so many enticing options. The prices are reasonable. The atmosphere and service were great. Very much recommended!

Perfetto - Edit

The Portuguese skewers were amazing. The texture of the seitan was great, and it tasted like ham to me. Ordered the snickers tart for dessert and it was also delicious.

Amazing authentic portuguese food - Edit
If you want to eat authentic portuguese food in Lisbon this is the the place to go to. We had the croquettes and the cauliflower wings which were absolutely amazing with a super crunchy exterior. As a Main I got the Francesinha which is an absolut banger here, super delicious and succulent with amazing cheese. As a dessert you should try the Nata Tarte with Ice Cream, which was honestly the best dessert I've ever! Very nice Combo!

Kong is not King - Edit
My niece recommended this place. There were 4 of us eating here. We started with the croquettes & wings, these were good but I've had better, the sauces were just standard shop bought not house made. I had the same dish I'd had the night before in a different restaurant, a seitan steak in gravy with a vegan egg, came with fries, rice & salad. It was again good but the salad was tasteless, & the entire dish was not as good as the previous nights. My girlfriend had skewers on mashed potato which she enjoyed. For dessert I had the Snickers tart which was very nice. My overall impression is that this place deals in volume so that the food doesn't have that extra touch of care.

Happy Octopus - Edit
Lisbon is blessed with some fantastic vegan dining options, and if you want a fine-dining experience then there are much fancier alternatives; but Kong is a fine vegan option in a very central location. I wasn't 'wowed' by the food, but I enjoyed it. The "Happy Octopus" was the best of the dishes we tried, and I'd recommend that to mushroom lovers. Staff and service were great and the food arrived quickly.

IMPECCABLE - Edit
One of the loveliest vegan dinners I’ve had in a long time. The croquettes was insanely delicious so crispy and the flavours…. Felt like a treat. The fish main was amazing with the rice and beans very homely. The service was outstanding. Going back for desserts as I was so full.

Great food, cool place - Edit
An interesting menu here at Kong. I had Portuguese croquettes, which was good to get to try a dish I’ve seen everywhere in Lisbon- but not vegan versions! They were really smoky and creamy inside but really crisp on the outside. Really good flavour. I also had the trio of bruschetta- the veggie pesto one was as stand out. My mom had the ‘where’s the fish’ which she said was really good.

A must for Traditional Portuguese - Edit
Really nice place to enjoy Portugal's most popular dishes in a vegan way.
Read moreThe plates are nicely crafted and well prepared.
The service is friendly, and the ambiance, decoration, and space are inviting.
As is mainly comfort food (a bit on the fast/junk food side) and the menu doesn't change (sadly because there are many dishes that could be considered), as locals we are not able to visit it as frequently as we would like to, but is still a good option to invite - especially non vegan - friends and tourists to showcase what Portuguese plant base culinary has to offer.
Pros: Great to experience traditional dishes, The friendly service
Cons: Menu doesn't change / have new options, Mainly fast food option

Yummy & Fun - Edit
We loved the location and atmosphere of this restaurant. The food was a cool way to try some traditional Portuguese dishes but veganized. I’d definitely recommend the seitan, which was thin and tender, and was very unique with the egg and sauce!
