I Wanted to Like It... - Edit
The Port Moody location is very quaint, minimalist space. I had the Coastal Macro bowl. The serving was very generous, and everything in the bowl, in particular the marinated tempeh and edamame hummus, was very good. However, the contents of the bowl were overshadowed by the thai turmeric sunflower seed dressing. The tumeric was very overpowering to the extent I couldn't finish the bowl. Dressing on the side would have been preferable and know for next time.

Cons: Too much dressing and very overpowering

I love Kokomo and always find myself stopping for a quick breakfast or lunch. The buffalo “chicken” wrap, the breakfast wrap, and the peanut noodle bowl are my favourites!

Strong flavours, cute place and good portions - Edit
Really cute restaurant in a condo district in Port Moody. There’s a parking garage within walking distance so if you’re gonna drive there’s an option.
Read moreI got the shawarma bowl, a lemon pistachio loaf and a chocolate chip cookie. I got the bowl because the server recommended it and said it was a good garlicky flavour. To which I was like super we love that.
The bowl was a great portion size and had awesome fillings like vegan feta and olives. BUT I will say that it was VERY garlicky, so if you have a problem with spice and garlic I’d advise against this bowl. Like my nose was running but maybe I’m just a wimp.
The lemon loaf and the cookie were awesome as well. The loaf was my favourite, super moist and lemony. They had a bunch of other baked items and all the allergen info on them as well.
Great place to grab food before grocery shopping at the market across the street. Lots of seating and was able to bring my pup into the restaurant as well.

So many delicious and healthy options! - Edit
When I saw the signs go up in 2022 for Kokomo's opening in Suter Brook, I was euphoric. Port Moody has lacked a vegan restaurant since the departure of Chomp and The Green Mustache, so despite never going to one of Kokomo's Vancouver locations, I trusted that the Vancity staff next door would ensure they secured a perfect neighbour.
Read moreMy favourite items are the almond noodle salad, chickpea curry, bean burrito and vanilla soft serve. The golden laksa noodles, hemp caesar salad and coastal macro bowl are also fantastic choices. Some things to be aware of are that the acai is sweetened (I only like unsweetened but it's a matter of personal preference), and on rare occasions, the coconut turmeric broth for the golden laksa noodles is overly spicy.
It's close to the Inlet Centre SkyTrain station and Kokomo has a nice seating area, both inside and out. They also offer delivery of many items, which can be extremely convenient. The employees have always been exceptional, even writing nice messages on the take-out bags. Occasionally they also run promotions, like with Taste of Tri-Cities (BOGO 50%), Uber Eats coupons (BOGO free), the Plant Curious deals book ($10 off $40+) and a morning happy hour (various deals from 9am to 11am).
Pros: Bowls, salads, wraps, pastries & soft serve are 💯, Friendly staff, Convenient location
Cons: Acai bowls are sweetened (too sweet IMHO)

Amazing vegan spot - Edit
I was in town visiting a friend and we walked by here and grabbed dinner to share with three of us. Staff was awesome and helpful at suggestions. We’ve been vegan for years and this place is top notch. Great food and service. We had a few different bowls and a milkshake and took everything to go. They also have To Die For treats - for those who love Erin Ireland’s baked goods!! If I lived there I would go there multiple times a week
