Incredible coffees - Edit
Can't recommend this place enough for the coffee alone. Really great coffee, and good food too. Amazing for vegans.

Don’t take my Koda-chrome away - Edit
Had a lovely tempeh Reuben here packed with succulent tempeh and sauerkraut before heading off to see Scarborough Athletic smash Chester FC 3-1 in the FA Cup. Relaxed atmosphere, vegan friendly and a very pleasant surprise to see a good place like this in Scarborough.

Lucky find! - Edit
What a great place, found by chance when the 2 listed vegan café s in Scarborough were both closed. The menu is small, the kitchen is tiny, but the choices were interesting. We ordered Tempeh Reuben and Tempeh Focaccia - both of which were tasty and filling. The choice of speciality coffees and teas was really good and we enjoyed ruby oolong tea and their no. 3 coffee. Even the music was good - classic rock, pop etc

All vegan and all lovely - Edit
Went in for brunch. The kitchen is tiny so the menu is limited, but it packs a lot in!
Read moreWe opted for the carrot and cream cheese bagel and the coronation chickpea wrap.
The bagel was refreshing and filling - with dill cream "cheese" and plenty of filling. A super fresh side salad with delicious slaw was the perfect accompaniment.
Coronation chickpea seems an odd choice for brunch but it worked. Any spice is balanced out with fruit and (I think) mango chutney.
We had an oat latte - the coffee here is outstanding - and a hibiscus tea. Something I wish we saw more of in the UK!
In terms of ambiance, they have the balance exactly right, with familiar, classic music playing and a myriad of ages in the clientele.
We finished with a cherry bakewell blondie.
This place needs to be on your list to visit! Easy to find near the train station and well worth the wander from the seafront.

Such a relaxing place - Edit
This is the most relaxing cafe ever! Cool music, artwork on the walls, and spacious interior. It's so nice to just pop in here for a drink and a cake (amazing cakes and lots to choose from) and/or a couple of slices of toast and Marmite, and because there's plenty of space between the tables, it never feels crowded, even when it's full.
Read moreFriendly and helpful start and an almost 100% vegan kitchen. I'm sorry they still offer the option of cows' milk but (apart from that) I love this place.
Pros: Beautiful spacious decor, Relaxing atmosphere, Amazing cakes
Cons: Dislike the fact that they still offer cows' milk

Pretty damn yummy - Edit
Hot choccie and toasties were delish! Cute place too, the only negative thing was the tables were left grubby for a little while. I wouldn’t normally care or even notice that kinda thing but for some reason I did today! #Veganuary

I love this place, has such a cool vibe. Lovely friendly staff. Great to support a small business who genuinely appreciates you being there. Had the most amazing black forest hot chocolate & kimcheeze toastie!
Read moreI did find the menu a bit limited, perhaps they could do something simple (beans on toast) that won't go to waste if not a good seller 💚

Brilliant and unique drinks, like cocktails, but with coffee, matcha and hot chocolate. Fully vegan, with great cakes, smoothie bowls etc. Gluten free options available too.

Fantastic coffee - Edit
Friendly & helpful staff, delicious artisan coffee, tasty cakes & light bites. I had a hand brew, which was light & floral as promised: simple, fresh and delicious. Partner had the Pistachio Affogato, which looked & tasted amazing.

Cow’s milk here so it’s veggie - Edit
This is not a vegan cafe it’s veggie due to the cow’s milk. The venue itself is lovely and the food is all plantbased.

Hadn't realised it was all vegan when I went in - Edit
I popped in to check if they had any vegan desserts and to my surprise, they said they were all vegan. Then looking over their menu, I realised it was a fully vegan place.

Small but perfected menu - Edit
So happy Koda exists in Scarborough. Very chill place close to the train station with excellent coffee and a small and tasty lunch menu. Our table had soup, vegan cheese and pesto toasted, and the char Sui sub.

Overpriced - Edit
Fairly tasty and yet high priced.
Read moreYou get a small sandwich for over six quid.
Cheese, vegan, and kimchi on a toasie. Nice but overpriced. Uncomfortable chairs, just a simple cushion can be bought for next to nothing.
So you feel the hard chair below your rear end and think, Christ, make it more comfortable.
Staff not friendly and do not reply when you say goodbye.
Pros: Vegan
Cons: Expensive. , Staff unfriendly

Delicious breakfast and nice drinks. Dog friendly - Edit
Updated with 4 stars instead of 5 - the cafe does offer now diary milk with coffee and should not be called “fully vegan”. Disappointing
Read moreWe had a Moroccan sandwich in sub roll and açai bowl with a latte and hot chocolate. We enjoyed every bit of it. We have just discovered this fully vegan spot and definitely will go back again.

delicious snack and coffee - Edit
I had a delicious snack at Koda vegan cafe in Northway. It was Tempeh Reuben - marinated tempeh, sauerkraut and grilled smoked vegan cheese with a Russian dressing, served in toasted sourdough. The coffee was pretty good too. It’s a lovely little spot.
