Was super excited to try the food here!! We had the pumpkin hotdog (special for Halloween) and loaded fries. The hotdog was a treat texture and was loaded with good toppings. The loaded fries were good but way too spicy for me which I couldn't enjoy the other food as my mouth was burning lmao.

I love seeing a fully vegan bar/pub and I was excited to try the food here. We sat outside and ordered a selection of food including – Knaves Gourmet BBQ Burger, Squid Vicious, Mac & Cheez, Cajun Fries and ‘Knave’s Infamous Gravy’.
Read moreI enjoyed the burger, it had a good texture and a slightly sweet taste, which I enjoyed. The chips were also tasty with a pretty good flavour. The gravy was very tasty although as another review noted it’s very watery. The Squid Vicious was vegan calamari and that was also very tasty. My only complaint would be that because the pieces were quite small the ratio of batter to ‘calamari’ could’ve been better, but that’s only a small thing.
I was less keen on the Mac & Cheez, it was ok but the Cheez just didn’t really have any flavour. I was also a bit underwhelmed by the Bakewell Pie we got for dessert, which had a nice texture but just didn’t really have a Bakewell flavour.
Pros: Good selection, Tasty food
Cons: Mac N Cheez & Bakewell Pie lacked flavour, Gravy was very watery (but still very tasty)

The loaded fries were THE BOMB. The meat balls were sooo good! Didn't like the gravy on the fries particularly, but this might be me being picky about gravy in general. I think it's some Swedish based recipe. Had the Mac Cheez Dip to it which was 100%! Nice 'beer garden' as well.

The food here was delicious and the prices were great. There was half price on chicken and waffles and corn ribs and we also got the seitan kebab and Mac n cheese. The seitan was really good and my fave was the mac n cheese. Highly recommend.

Categorically the worst food I’ve ever had - Edit
My housemates and I had the worst dining experience ever at Knaves Kitchen. I unfortunately had the breakfast muffin (after recommendation from front of house). The muffin was not toasted, the scrambled tofu was incredibly salty, the seitan smelt and tasted like old smelly socks, I did reluctantly eat the mushroom because I was hungry. The only edible item on my plate was the hash brown (with addition of tomato sauce). We ate there yesterday and I’m still upset about it. I’m not typically the person who bothers to leave a review but I feel like it’s my civic duty.

It's sad to see a vegan kitchen taking advantage of vegans. I decided to go eat out to help out, but at £4.70 a pint of Guinness and a hidden 10% fee for table service for one person (myself) was not worth it.

Good indie music nice alternative setting, friendly staff and great vegan junk food, we had the seitan chicken nuggets and one of the specials BBQ ribs, both were very good, they also use compostable knives and forks.
