Delicious food and very nice atmosphere - Edit
There are a lot of vegan options, all clearly declared on the menu. The food was so delicious! A highlight was the coriander lime chutney. I simply had to try the vegan panna cotta for dessert and it was worth it.

I ordered a takeaway, channa saag with poppadoms. The staff were very friendly and there was a lovely atmosphere. I called to order and collection was around 1 hour later. Food was delicious!

Nice food, bit expensive - Edit
Nice good options, perfectly labeled, starters, mains and desserts. Staff even mentioned, that pakora will be fried in the same oil as the fish and asked if that‘s an issue to us. 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 dessert and 2 beverages came up to 60 pounds.

Great Cafe - Edit
Convenient location in main Street. Good choice of food and drink. Vegan and gluten-free items clearly marked. Including some deserts. Note they have 2 hour slots and it's best to book.

Delicious - Edit
Kisumu Cafe have a few vegan choices, and the ones I had were excellent. A real depth of taste and generous portions. Definitely worth trying if you are in Castlebay.

Kisimul Cafe - Edit
Vibrant and lively restaurant in the heart of Castlebay. Gets very busy in the evening so booking is advised. Limited vegan options, primarily curries available. Good to have an option in an area where vegan options are not really that abundant.

Port in a Storm - Edit
Everywhere serving hot food had closed for the season the day before so this was the only place we could get a hot meal indoors, having been stranded due to a cancelled ferry. Limited vegan options but we both had a pasta dish.

Enjoyed a red lentil Dahl and spinach and chickpea with rice and popadoms, the food was really good. Staff friendly no live music due to COVID restrictions. Lovely cafe in very scenic Castlebay Harbour in Barra.
