Good value and good selection of vegan cakes - Edit
Loads of character with old low beams and hugh fireplace, though sadly no fire. Good oat latte and delicious warm cinnamon bun.

Charming cafe in Shaftesbury - Edit
Renata is the proprietor of King Alfred's Kitchen, and I have to say, is a wonderful host! Even though she was just closing one eve, she extended her hours and welcomed my husband and myself in for coffee and delicious vegan cake!

It's nice to see this place get reopened and freshened up inside with an adorable atmosphere and nice music playing gently in the background. My vegan carrot cake was so good that I had to get another to go! Awesome smoothie too.
