Great selection of vegan/vegan options! - Edit
Fantastic, wholesome and healthy menu that is largely plant-based or has a plant based option. A vast range of vegan and gluten free cakes and treats! Delicious, flavourful and good sized portions! Thoroughly recommend the vegan gooey brownie - it’ll be the gooey-ist one you’ve ever tasted!

Good food - Edit
The food was good but pretty steep pricing especially for Dunedin. I like the location and the bounty of vegan options though.

Wish it was still 100% vegan. Had our post-wedding lunch here and had their donuts as our wedding "cake". They were amazing, friendly and scrummy!

Plant based breakfast - Edit
A busy cafe serving mainly plant based foods but also offering eggs and milk for non vegans. Good range of breakfast dishes and saw some great looking burgers being brought out to other diners.

The cocktails and food are to die for! - Edit
So thrilled to have a 100 percent vegan place to go to in Dunedin. The food id all delicious but I personally think they do savoury food better than sweet. The scones and poutine are to diiiieee for and the cocktails are out of this world
Read moreWould love for a different plant based cream as coconut whip does not always suit the dish super well and can be polarising when dining with non veg people

Tasty but overpriced. - Edit
We were a bit disappointed with our burgers. Supermarket bun, beyond pattie, 1 lettuce leaf, pickle, onion rings and sauce fries..$28! Yikes. Was a $15 burger.
Read moreWill go back for coffee and cake to support a fully vegan cafe, but not a meal. Those prices would expect table service and a clean table too.
Pros: Vegan, I’ll try again but just for coffee and cake

Great food and a lot to choose from! - Edit
We went for lunch and had a chai latte with oat milk, a BBQ saucie pizza slice and a sandwich with cauliflower 'wings' and tahini. The chai was too sweet for our tastebuds but nice. You can choose between oat, coconut, soy and almond for your hot drink btw, so plenty of choice. The pizza slice was rather salty but the best vegan pizza I have ever had! The cheese and pieces of mince/sausage on top were to die for! My boyfriend's sandwich was also delicious. We finished with a raw berry-lemon tart.
Read moreThe lady who served us was very friendly and they also have a lot of vegan goodies you can buy. 2 big fridges with cheese and meat products, a shelve with skincare and zero waste products, and several more shelves with bars, chocolate, canned and dried foods, etc.
Too bad they're closed on Sunday, otherwise we would have gone back the next day.
Pros: Plenty of choice
Cons: Closed on sundays😒

There’s so many good things to say about kind grocer. Their food is all vegan and homemade and always delicious. Penelope and everyone in the team are so friendly. Heaps of vegan cooking supplies and anything you can dream of like clothing and shoes. Definitely make a stop if in Dunedin.

Great Cafe and Shop - Edit
One of the few vegan places in Dunedin. They have a great variety of food and other goods. The cakes are very delicious. The place is nice and cozy, you can easily spend some time, drinking coffee, having something to eat and read. Really liked that there are books and magazines laying around for the customers.

Beautiful Food - Edit
Everything we tried was delicious! We had all four of the salads from the cabinet (priced by weight which is a great option), a mince and cheese pie (11/10- amazing!!), and a donut. The oat milk coffee was equally delicious.

Do not miss it! - Edit
As you can read in past reviews, this is an amazing place not only to buy veggies/fruits,/groceries/vegan clothing and more but, also, to have a lovely experience, eat some and support good people that wants to be a contribution for the world we're living in. Highlights for me were the stuffed donuts and the urban style shirts. One of the most beautiful stores that I've been to. Really lovely and helpful staff, eco-friendly options. I loved it. Thanks guys! (L)
