Loved the beancurd pudding (tau fu fa). It’s simple but nutritious, provides some protein in a noodle and rice heavy country haha. Made fresh daily and served with sugar syrup. Also has yummy cold soy milk and a jelly dessert. Everything is vegan
The warm silken tofu with brown sugar syrup was delicious! I bought a bottle of soya mylk to take away; it was light and tasty. Bargain prices and friendly service. Highly recommended!
Great place run by sweet guys! We had a soy milk and a grass jelly - you can have take away and it gets wrapped in a bag but if you ask to have there they will pour into a glass and you can just neck it right there!
Just walk along Kimberley St and you'll find this food truck amongst the other late night stalls. The guy was friendly and spoke some English. I got the bean curd with brown sugar syrup - and I really enjoyed it. The portion was pretty big and the syrup was not too sickly or sticky at all. It was very light and went really well with the bean curd. I had mine there and payed just 2 ringgit.
Traditional soy delicacies at Kimberley Street - Edit
Shhould you crave for healthy & soy, there's a soy night market car at Kimberley street. Run by a father and son, they have been in business from the start of eighties, doing just home made soy milk, grass jelly and soy yoghurt. I tried yoghurt without any syrup (there's white and brown sugar syrups available and they are keen on putting either one into yoghurt so state clearly if you want it without). It is warm, delicious, natural silken tofu, and still warm. Highly recommended for people who enjoy the taste of freshly made silken tofu.
