Wish I could give 5 stars!

We had a last minute mishap with our wedding food and decided to order pizza from Kilauea Bakery instead! They did not disappoint. Everyone raved about how delicious they were. Our vegan cake was a dream come true too. Can’t wait to come back to visit next time we are in Kauai! Thanks so much legends!

Vegan cake

Beautiful vegan cake options. Lilikoi and Chocolate Raspberry.
They don’t charge extra for plant based milk!

Vegan cakes

Delicious vegan cakes! They also have several plant milk option. When we went they had no vegan savoury options, but the cake we tried was outstanding.

Just not that good of a pizza

I went to have a pizza with their vegan cheese after reading several of the reviews and was extremely disappointed. I honestly think they use a DiGiorno pizza crust, but whether they did or not it tasted like cardboard. I do not recommend.

Inexpensive (for north shore Kauai, and filling!)

Large pizzas with lots of toppings! The ulu cheese was yummy. Not particularly cheese like but very savory and satisfying. We had 4 hungry adults and only finished 1 out of two pizzas! Confirmed the cheese they use now does not have casein although does have sugar. Very friendly service.

Was a longish wait for the pizzas but they have a cute little play area for little kids.

Pros: House made vegan cheese for the pizza, Vegan dessert options , Friendly service

Pizza

They have a "vegan"*** pizza that they pile on the veggies and make their own vegan cheese for. But if you are a strict vegan they use regular sugar in their pizza sauce for their vegan pizzas and regular sugar in their vegan desserts. So it could be bone char filtered sugar. My husband isn't as strict as me so he doesn't care about that and loves their pizza.

I gave them 3 stars as my husband loves their pizza and they really do pile on the veggies. It's a shame they don't eliminate the sugar to make it truly vegan. Generally I really hate places that label something vegan that isn't, but I understand not every vegan cares about the sugar source. But I do hate the claim of vegan without making sure it is strictly vegan.

Cons: Not for a strict vegan

Wow. The cake is amazing.

Not a ton of vegan options but what they have is great. The cakes marked with stars on the sign are vegan. Vegan spreads and bagels. Gluten free options. They have vegan cheese as well but I didn’t try it.

Outrageously Expensive

We ordered a large veggie pizza half soy cheese, half regular. The total came to $39 for the pizza and two sodas. The pizza was $32. We didn't check the price before we ordered which was a mistake. The pizza was good, but not phenominal. The ingredients are not even local - they have a sign saying that 90% are not local.

Pros: soy cheese

Cons: price, long wait

Really good pizza!

This place had excellent pizza, and was in a perfect location to stop on the way back to our Kapa'a hotel after exploring the north shore for the day. Vegan soy cheese is an option, and there's a ton of different veg toppings to choose from - I had peppers, onion, mushroom, and pineapple (of course). They also have vegan desserts, 3 different kinds of cake when I was there. Seating is mostly outdoors (covered). Located in a little marketplace, you can browse around the shops for 20 mins while waiting for your pizza. Would definitely go back!

Pros: Delicious pizza, that I could actually have cheese, Quiet courtyard, nice atmosphere, Dessert!

Tasty

Sandwiches, pizza, cold drinks (various fruit smoothies and lemonades) are delicious. Pastries and Desserts looked delicious but didn't have a chance to taste. Pizza crust tastes a little like a hard pretzel (not too hard though). Vegetarian cookbooks on the bookshelf behind the indoor seats.

Pros: Something for every time of day., Indoor and Outdoor Seating, Happy Employees

Cons: Few Vegan Options

Great little gem in Kilauea

We ate dinner here twice while in Kauai, and it was a cute, friendly little place. The staff were very nice, they had soup, salad, and pizza options that were vegan, and it was all very yummy! They have both indoor and outdoor seating with free Wi-Fi, and even have a library cart outside so you can relax and read a book if you wanted to. I would definitely go back, and recommend it to anyone in the North for a great vegan option.

Pros: Vegan pizza, Friendly staff, Cozy

'vegan' cheese (tofurella) contains casinate!

I even asked about casein & whey when we ordered. Very snooty, almost too much trouble to serve us. And lied about being vegan. They don't seem to care.

Pros: has soy for lattes

Cons: NOT vegan, bad attitude, no vegan deserts either

dairy free cheese is not vegan

My husband and I went here while on our honeymoon. We love food, and made the trip to this area especially to get vegan pizza... but when we got there, nothing was vegan unless you special order an entire cake, or get a cheese-less pizza, which I can get anywhere really! We were so disappointed! We got them to make us a salad minus the non-vegan ingredients, and a pizza minus the cheese. The pizza wasn't bad, but it was extremely overpriced and disappointing without cheese.

Pros: nice staff

Cons: NO vegan cheese!, no real vegan options, expensive

Great place with several vegan options!

This morning I had the vegan breakfast Stromboli (filled with tofu scramble, spinach and mushrooms), it was excellent! But make sure you get there early because I got the last one before it sold out (I was there around 930am, on a saturday; they open at 6am). I've also had the vegan pizza which was good too! They have a nice little seating area outside to eat.

Pros: Great food, Nice outside seating

Cons: Crowded at times
