Delicious food! - Edit
I had the seitan wings and fried chicken sandwich, both were just so scrumptious and crunchy in the perfect way. A perfect place to go with non-vegans for chatting and hanging. Bravo!

Amazing vegan options !! - Edit
So many delicious options for vegans and non-vegans alike! The vegan options were clearly labeled and perfectly executed !! They even had vegan mayo if you ordered the vegan chick'n sandwich !! The SEITAN WINGS (VEGAN) and BANANAS FOSTER CUSTARD (VEGAN) - simply delicious!!! My carnivorous friends loved their meals as well. It was great to be in a normal pub environment on a Friday night where everyone could enjoy a meal together without trying to compromise to find someplace the vegans could get something more than lettuce and oxygen. Great job Khyber Pass Pub: a lesson for mainstream restaurants in how to accommodate vegans and carnivores !!

Know what to get - Edit
Good array of veg options, but not all of them are a hit. Sandwiches, fries, and seitan”wings” are always a good bet, as are all the desserts I’ve ever tried here. Maybe avoid anything ball-shaped as it tends to be kinda weird in my experience, and if you see anything green on the menu, you’ll want it to balance out all the fried food on your plate.

Tofu cilantro sandwich was so good!!! - Edit
I am so happy with the service and food here, they have multiple bar-food style vegan choices, plus a cute old bar ambiance. It’s the holiday season so they have festive garland, decor, lights, and a tree. Not to mention a huge international beer menu. I highly recommend a stop here.

Super delicious - Edit
They vegan options were so good. Split the seitan wings, vegan chicken sandwich, and sweet potato fries with one other person and we were full with lots of leftovers! So tasty and delish and great service too. Got happy hour lemonade drink for 5$ and it was nice and strong too.

Excellent bar food - Edit
Excellent vegan options - two po-boys, a marinated tofu sandwich, seitan wings (best in show), loaded vegan fries, and more that we couldn't try. I'll echo every other review on this page in saying just how incredible the wings were - and there were enough to comfortably share with 3 or even 4 people in a single serving.

Go for the Seitan - Edit
The Seitan wings are absolutely perfect. The “pulled pork” was good too but no human could deny that the wings are incredible. Menu is labeled well, service was great and beer list doesn’t disappoint either!

Excellent Vegan Lunch - Edit
My husband & I had lunch here while sightseeing in the Old City area of Philly. Although this pub is not a vegan establishment, it had lots of vegan options, including chili, nachos, Vega mixed meat pies, and several types of sandwiches. My husband raved about his vegan BBQ, and my vegan cheesesteak was very tasty, although not very similar to the traditional version. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating.

Best vegan wings - Edit
Great location, impressive selection of draft beers, and a decent list of delicious vegan food to boot. Their seitan wings are out of this world - both in terms of texture and flavor. The only thing I would not recommend so far is the Death by Chocolate cake which we found to be somewhat dry.

Great option for eating out with non-vegans - Edit
Many many options for vegans and non-vegans! I went with my dad, and although he ordered a meat option he tried my vegan pulled pork (seitan) and loved it! Pub food with a vegan twist.

Bring back the vegan sausage sandwich - Edit
Khyber is always pretty reliable. The sausage sandwich was my absolute favorite, but for some reason they got rid of it (and the onion rings). Now I get the vegan chicken po' boy, which is good, but not vegan sausage sandwich good.

Get the vegan pulled pork - Edit
My husband and I make pilgrimages here for the vegan pulled pork sandwich. It is juicy and sweet and savory (and a little messy but in a good way!). So many vegan sides to choose from. I think the actual menu is even more extensive and vegan-friendly than the one online.
Read moreA lot of people reviewed that they liked the vegan fried chicken po boy—I found it a little dry and boring though.
My husband’s sweet potato fries were a little too burnt and the server cared not at all, which was a little annoying.
Great beer list. Good place to go with friends who for whatever reason require meat.
Pros: Lots of clearly labeled vegan options, They had a vegan cake on special, Great beer list
Cons: So much meat on the menu (barf), Dive bar feel, not fancy

Very good vegan options! - Edit
We had the vegan sausage and fried chicken poboys and both were very tasty. All of the desserts except one were vegan and the chocolate cake was really good. Good beer and really friendly servers too. Also, prices were very reasonable.

My Go-To! - Edit
This is one of my favorite places in Philadelphia and is one of the few that has remained that way in my transition from vegetarian to vegan. While I can no longer dive into a side of mouthwatering mac and cheese (if you eat dairy please do so for me), I do not feel I am missing out with the plethora of other options available to me. My personal favorite is the vegan fried chicken po'boy with a side of fried okra, with the vegan pulled pork sandwich as a close runner-up. Would definitely be 5* if they were veg-only! Now if only New Orleans itself was this veg-friendly.

This place was highly rated on Foursquare for 'regular' food so wasn't sure what I was getting myself into when looking for vegan food. Boy as I surprised! All options were clearly marked and there were plenty of items to choose from. To top it off my meal was delicious. Would highly recommend!

Many Vegan choices - Edit
Four of us had lunch/brunch at Khyber's. There were several vegan choices on the regular menu as well as additional items on the daily menu. Our waiter was prompt and helpful. We tried the jambalaya, chicken poor boy, and sausage sandwich. They were all very good. My wife ordered the scrambled tofu with sweet potatoes but it was too spicy for her. I suggest you ask the level of heat as it is not marked on the menu.
