Egg shell - Edit
Had a lovely meal until I found eggshell in it. Not what you want to find when it should contain egg, even more not what you want to find when the dish is supposed to be vegan. This was a year ago or so now, hoping it's improved.

Reviews seemed to suggest that the restaurant can veganize most dishes. However, on checking, my partner and I were informed that only the Thai yellow curry and pad thai were truly vegan. All other sauces/fries contained shrimp paste and/or oyster sauce.
Read moreThe head-staff then informed us that she could make most dishes vegan by removing the shrimp paste and when we chose one such dish, she told us it would taste bland as by being vegan, we had "lost out" on the Thai flavours. This was quite an unsettling statement for us and left us feeling alienated and upset.
Having had truckloads of authentic Thai food outside and at home, it is no secret that seafood is absolutely unnecessary to emulate Thai flavours. Most asian restaurants, even in small towns, are shifting to plant based ingredients where possible to be inclusive. In such an atmosphere, this restaurant seems to be lagging far behind.
We did eventually have the Veg Tempura with sweet chilli sauce and the Thai yellow curry with Jasmine rice. Both dishes tasted very good and the portion sizes were decent.
However, the lack of inclusivity and their inability to make most dishes suitable to those who are plant based goes directly against what was advertised.

No Tofu! - Edit
Takeaway or delivery restaurant in Buxton.
Read moreWas excited to see lots of clearly labelled vegan options on menu but deflated to hear that they were out of tofu that day! This was only minutes after opening time too. Considering most of the vegan dishes had it at their heart this was disappointing. Had the green curry and sticky rice which was nice.
Pros: Flavoursome curry, Reasonable price
Cons: No tofu!

Amazing Thai food - Edit
I had yellow tofu curry and coconut rice and a vegan pad Thai. By far the best Thai meal I've ever had. Came to about £12 and was more than 2 of us could eat for one meal. Highly recommend this takeaway.
