Nice set meals - Edit
I've been twice, once for dinner and once for lunch. For dinner I was offered a set, and for lunch the staff went away and started making a set without actually confirming that was what I wanted. I don't know if you can actually get everything else. Nothing is listed as vegan on the menu.
Read moreThe lunch set cost 2000 with tax and had a ton of food- salad with no dressing, lentil curry, eggplant curry, okra curry, papadam, whole wheat indian breads, white rice, samosa with dipping sauce, and canned fruits. Although the curries are small everything added up to a lot of food.
I ate everything and enjoyed it. It tasted healthy and like most things were homemade (except for the samosa/sauce/papadam/canned fruit).
I would like it if you could pick just one curry/bread or rice.
I appreciated that they gave a few whole grain breads and not just white rice.
I will visit again when I am in the area.
Pros: big portion sizes, whole grains included , good variety of vegetable curries included
Cons: only set options as far as I could see, vegan options not marked on menu

A restaurant near and dear to our hearts - Edit
Khazana is very special to us because of how kind and accommodating they are. My husband and I run an activism group here in Yokohama, For Animals Japan, and after our events we bring a group of anywhere from 5 to 20 hungry vegans to this restaurant. They always happily prepare a vegan feast for us with little to no notice. Friendly, staff, nice atmosphere, delicious food. Definitely worth a visit!

Good Indian Grub with Friendly Staff - Edit
We went (as a group of 8) after withstanding the cold for a couple of hours during an animal rights demonstration in front of Sakuragicho station in Yokohama. We were happy that they had a table for us and sat us immediately. The staff fully understand what veganism is and we went with their dinner set suggestion at ¥2000/person. The service was fast and the food was really good - not to mention generous. A great option if you’re in the area!
