Flavourful and accommodative. Lots of options. Would note not a lot of healthy options but super good!

Busy, greasy, tasty - Edit
If you want to go here be prepared to wait for a table - if you’re lucky you can get a spot at the cute Bang Sue Bar upstairs while you wait. This place is so popular and for good reason. This definitely isn’t a place for healthy options - everything is oily and rich, but so tasty.

So delicious - Edit
Amazing vegan pad thai. Great flavors, friendly staff who were happy to make the pad thai vegan by removing the egg and fish sauce.

One of the best Pad Thai - Edit
I think this is the best vegan pad Thai I've ever had. My omni friends were obsessed with this place as well. Service was great too.

Great vegan & GF options - Edit
Vegan and gluten-free menus available. Personal favourites:
Read more- Fresh rolls (you have to ask for vegan, otherwise they come with chicken)
- Squash fritters (not GF! but damn delicious if you can eat gluten)
- Red curry
- Three flavours pad thai (their Bangkok pad Thai has fish sauce, so make sure you choose the 3-flavours)
Pros: Vegan + GF options, FLAVOUR
Cons: No reservations

Delicious Food - Edit
I had the Khao Soi and it was amazing! The flavour was perfect and the dish was a good size. The price is fair too—about $16 for an entrée.
Read moreNote that the restaurant serves egg noddles in some dishes, so you will need to request non-egg noddles to make even the dishes on the vegan menu properly vegan.
Pros: Vegan menu, Lots of options, Large servings

Delicious Thai food - Edit
I had the vegan Pad Thai with tofu - it tasted exactly how I remember Pad Thai tasting minus the egg! Separate vegan menu was great!

Vegan menu with almost all the same dishes as non-vegan menu - Edit
This place was delicious ! the pad Thai tastes exactly like non-vegan pad Thai. The restaurant is very nice looking and would be a super cute date location.

Currently the best vegan Thai in Toronto - Edit
New, spiffy location is deceivingly large. Always busy but getting a table usually not hard. Separate vegan menu with the alternatives being very tasty with little variation from the meat versions. Service quick. Pretty expensive, but that seems to be Toronto these days.

Best Thai Vegan Options I've Had - Edit
Khao San Road was a wonderful culinary experience for me and my family. Both my non-vegan family and vegan self thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I ordered the squash fritters made vegan and the pad kee mao made vegan with tofu and veggies, but there are so many other vegan options here, as noted in their vegan menu available both on their website and directly in the restaurant.

Excellent VEGAN Thai Options EXCEPT: - Edit
khao soi !!! It's on their vegan menu. It's the last dish. Do NOT get it. It's horrible. Get the pad thai or the green curry - simply amazing. Today was the first time I had khao soi and my stomach is hurting so bad and I feel sick. It just has way too much oil :( Even my non-vegetarian friend said that when he ordered that dish in a regular meat option - he felt sick after because of the oil.... YUCK.

Definitely worth the wait! - Edit
We waited about 40 minutes for a table for two, but once we sat down it felt like we were back in Bangkok. Loved the atmosphere - super busy, just like on Khao San Road in Thailand. Food was soooo delicious! We had the chefs special vegan pad Thai, the vegan red curry, and the coconut milk tapioca for dessert. To die for!

Worth the wait! - Edit
As already noted, this place gets busy and it does not take reservations, however, it is certainly worth waiting for! Ask for their vegan menu.

Yummy thai food w/ no hidden ingredients! - Edit
I've been to Khao San Road a few times now and each time it was delicious and the servers were knowledgeable about what could be made vegan. On my latest visit, they had a new separate vegan menu that I was offered! Needless to say there's plenty of vegan options including two kinds of pad thai, red curry and green curry. Unfortunately while there's a lot of vegan mains, there's only one app and one dessert on the vegan menu (although the garlic tofu is amazing). Another problem is it's extremely busy so be prepared to wait especially during peak periods. Also, they don't take reservations so there's no way around the waiting and it can be hard to get in with a larger group.
