Best in Phu Quoc

All vegans/vegetarians staying in Phu Quoc should eat here every day. I did, and stuffed myself.

Not much English spoken, but:

1) Go to the back
2) Declare your intent to eat rice or noodles
3) If noodles you will get a big bowl of tasty noodle soup
4) If rice you will get a plate of rice to top with all the buffet options, plus a small bowl of peppery soup.
5) Pay 30-50k dong.
6) Repeat

Pros: Quality + quantity

Cons: None

Super tasty options & satisfying buffet

We loved this place and even ate here for breakfast, takeaway lunch and dinner during the same day! It's not the cleanest and the price is a bit inconsistent (between 30.000 and 50.000 dong), but cheap eitherway. One of the staff was really nice and told us about his vegan journey which was really interesting to hear from a local.

Pros: Different vegan options throughout the day. You ch

Cons: Not the cleanest, as its's street food style, so d

Interesting but not very nice

Different kinds of tofu and mock meats with rice and some cooked vegetables. Some meats were quite tasty, but the buffet as a whole was oily and not very fresh at all. Some people will probably like it, but it was our least satisfying meal in Vietnam so far. 40,000 dong per person.

Pros: Many new (and quite convincing!) mock meats

Cons: Nothing fresh, Food had probably been standing a while

Lovely little buffet

Just had a take away box which I filled myself, and there were a few other items than in other com chay restaurants, liked stuffed tomatos (looked like white cheese inside).
And especially the mock chicken was the best I ever had so far.

Best vegan restaurant on Phu Quoc

Small vegan buffet restaurant with delicious different vegetables, soups and mock meat dishes. Nearly no English spoken, but as it is buffet this is no problem. We had dinner there 4 times and tried all meals from soups to rice dishes. Inexpensive place, soup is cheaper than rice dishes (around 30.000 and 40.000 Dong per person)
Just follow the small street of Buddys Ice cream and you will find it on the second corner. Open all day.

Good stuff

The food was great, but I have no idea what I was eating, as I don't speak Vietnamese and the staff don't speak English. 25,000 VND! (The 5,000 VND leaf wraps filled with rice [?] weren't very good though.) The portion wasn't huge, but perhaps I was allowed to take more? I felt a bit clueless.

Pros: Spicy, Price, Friendly staff (at least I think they were ...)

Cons: No English, No proper toilet, No alcohol

Great

Big and delicious buffet. The cakes are really good, they also offer boxes with different kinds of vegan cookies (35000VND) but they are rather dry and sweet. To every meal they serve free green tea plus a soup, we can truly recommend this place.
Closed on two days a month but we couldn't find out which ones. A waiter told us on the 2nd and 15th (on the Vietnamese calendar) and we found it closed on a 31th.

Pros: Many choices, tasty, cheap

authentic friendly delicious vegan place

We came straight from the airport to this place after reading about it here. It was the best welcome to the island one could wish for! The staff speaks very little English but was very friendly and proud vegans, making sure we understood that everything was pure vegan. We are very happy and it was extremely cheap.5/5!

Try the mushrooms

This place is a hidden gem and the food here is great. I recommend that you try the unique Tram Mushrooms which are only found on the island. I also liked the tet desert.

Please note that some of the dishes are made with fish sauce, so you need to ask them. Fish sauce is basically liquified anchovies and salt.

All this info was found at this helpful website: http://www.phuquocislandguide.com

Pros: Have the rare mushrooms, service, variety of dishes

Cons: Use fish sauce in some dishes, Too much soy, too much salt

Simple and delicious

The chicken is the best thing here, come early. About 5 pm there will be not so much food anymore. They do not have salad, just lots of fake meat, soup and rice. Try it :)

Pros: Interesting fake meat, Friendly Staff, Non-smoker

Cons: Lots of fat, not really healthy, No fresh stuff like salad or fruits, No food in the evening anymore :(

hidden treasure

Fantastic buffet eatery that doesn't look much, but great mock meat selection and interesting veggies. Friendly owner and staff and great for a lunch rest stop with the locals in town.

Pros: good selection, vegan, feel like a local

Cons: a few flies around

Very tasty options

Some very creative stuff on offer.

ok, so they only have 8-10 hot plates to choose from each day, but there are some good choices. it's mostly veggie protein, tofu and a few veggies, with plenty of chilli.

Set price for a plate of rice with as much of the veggie stuff piled on as you can fit. Price is USD 1.50 per plate, so it's a real bargain.

They have free pandanus falvour cold drinking water.

Pros: Very tasty, Very cheap

Cons: No English spoken, Not the cleanest looking place

authentic and delicious

Simply and easy food, traditional vietnamiese noodle soup with mock meat, they also have vegan gizzard. No spirits but different softdrinks. No menue, point with the finger on what you like. Its a great streedfood place.

Pros: cheap, tasty, authentic

Cons: no alcohol, not for a romantic dinner
