Do not bother - Edit
After giving our names to the hostess and waiting 30 minutes outside in the Austin heat (July), went in to check on our wait and they didn't have our names on the list.
Read moreThe three hostesses did not care or the manager.
It is unfortunate that the service industry does not know how to treat people or care when mistakes are made. We are human, mistakes do happen. It was the attitude of lack of caring that is so unfortunate.
We will not be back.
Cons: Long wait, Lack of caring, Lack of sincerity

Amazing vegan pancakes - Edit
I had the vegan breakfast plate. The pancakes were great, the sausage was crispy and delicious, the tofu scramble was okay. A little bland, but the pancakes are the star anyways. Have them add a cinnamon swirl!

Vegan pancakes!! - Edit
One of my favorite breakfast places out there! The vegan breakfast platter is amazing! I love their cinnamon swirl pancakes. They taste like cinnamon toast crunch in pancake form!

Great Vegan Queso - Edit
The cashew queso here might be the best queso I’ve had. The fried tacos (made vegan) were just okay

Pretty good! - Edit
Stopped here to meet a friend because they had many vegan options and a dog friendly patio. Staff was very nice. I got the breakfast tacos with soyrizo, tofu and potatoes. Salsa was great. Tacos were bigger than I expected as well. Food came of quick and there was nothing bad to report!

Decent Cafe/Diner Style Option - Edit
This is a decent option if you’re looking for something on this side of Austin. The bbq sandwich is okay, but it tastes more like a sloppy joe (not necessarily a bad thing). The Brussels sprouts are good. The fries are mediocre. The pumpkin pancake is great. FYI the veggie burger is fried in the same oil as the meat products, if that’s something you avoid.

Y'all can do better - Edit
The breakfast isn't bad, but it's not good. Vegan doesnt mean bland. As far as the burger goes, dont waste your money. The seedy, tasteless blob of whatever they put on is lacking in texture, flavor, and consistency. Quite possibly the worse vegan or veggie burger I've had in my life. Been vegan for almost a decade and I'd rather choke down the potato burgers from the dollar tree freezer than eat another kirby lane veggie burger. Straight up nasty. DO BETTER.

Classic - Edit
Classic diner food that’s open 24/7. Great place for college students wanting to get a late night fix. Offers plenty of vegan options as well.

Good place for cheap diner food - Edit
There are enough vegan options (ask for the vegan menu) and a lot of stuff can be substituted. I got an oat cappuccino and it came in a cup basically the size of a bowl and my food portion was huge considering the cheap price. It’s a good place to go with non vegan friends.

Overall okay - Edit
Honestly I keep coming back because it’s open late and they have for sure vegan options. I always end up getting the vegan breakfast platter but they recently changed their breakfast sausage and it’s a little soggy, they also stopped serving their vegan chocolate cake :///

Don’t waste your time - Edit
I’ve never disliked a restaurant enough to leave a bad review until now. Lack of service and lack of effort when it comes to their vegan food left a bad taste in my mouth— or maybe it was just the food.

Food is not good - Edit
It just doesn't seem like the staff cares about the vegan community. I've never really enjoyed anything I've ordered. Please improve the vegan menu and teach the staff about food cross contamination

Not many vegan options - Edit
I got the veggie burger on a whole wheat bun to make it vegan, and it honestly wasn’t good. There was way too much coriander for my liking. Also, I think the guy helping us forgot about us because after waiting 20 minutes after we finished our meal I had to go find him to get our check. I understand people get busy at work, but it still contributed to an overall unsatisfactory visit. I’d try them out again if they added more vegan options to their menu.

YUM! - Edit
This place is hands down the best option for a family like mine who range from meat-a-holic to vegan (me). Plenty of options for vegans, vegetarians and meat-eaters alike...and the food is AWESOME! We have been three times this week already on our visit here and have had amazing food and service each time!

Busy place on Sundays - Edit
While visiting friends in Austin, they took us to the Northwest Kerbey location on Hwy 183 near their home. One of them is vegetarian and likes this place, so there are plenty of options for vegetarians, but the vegan ones are more limited (although you can sub tofu in some dishes). We checked out a menu while we waited as there were lines on a Sunday for brunch. Once inside, it has a nice diner feel to it.
Read moreWe all ended up getting vegan dishes with Dirk and me both having the vegan breakfast platter with 2 pancakes, soy sausage and tofu scramble. One friend had the short stack of vegan pancakes and the other had the migas tacos with tofu. The pancakes were peach and there is only one vegan option per day. They were good, but really dense and filling. The sausage was really tasty as was the scramble. I really enjoyed the scramble even though I'm not the biggest fan of them (never liked eggs pre-vegan anyways), but this one really hit the spot. I also had a iced chai with soymilk. We took the vegan mocha tofu cheesecake to go as we couldn't finish it there as we were so stuffed and it was really good. Definitely a good place to go with a mix of friends, but probably wouldn't seek it out with a vegan only group.
Pros: vegan items clearly marked, nice atmosphere, easy parking at this location
Cons: more vegetarian than vegan options, long lines

24 hour Pancakes!!! - Edit
Went here with a a local friend that really loves this place. The quality varies depending on which location you go to, so I've heard. We went to the one on the south end of town.
Read moreWe had the vegan blueberry pancakes which were okay, very heavy/ filling and a little on the rubbery side. Tasty to someone who hasn't had pancakes in a really long time, so take that with a grain on salt. There was only one type of pancake available to vegans, so no choice on whether you want chocolate chips or blueberries or plain. We also had an order of hash browns, which were also okay.
There was a long wait to get a table but the food came out in a decent amount of time. Our waiter was awesome! Super friendly and nice.
All in all, I'd probably go back again to try some other stuff on the menu. I've heard good things about the other types of vegan pancakes they serve, you just have to be a bit lucky in timing for a new type.
Pros: Service, open 24 hours
Cons: limited vegan menu, rubbery pancakes

Beats going hungry - Edit
There are a number of vegetarian items on the menu, but many of them wouldn't amount to much in a vegan version. I had a veggie burger for lunch and it was ok- nothing spectacular.

I love this place - Edit
Kerby Lane is not entirely vegetarian but is very accommodating and has some really fantastic dishes that break out of the "standard veg fare". The seasonal menu is also well worth your time, I had a autumn stuffed squash with risotto, pecans, and cranberries once that was out of this world. The food is good and (even better), well priced!
