Well i didn't know about the politics until reading other reviews. I'm not local so I've only been here twice. Once last year when I had several cookies and cupcakes that were all delicious. This time we had a birthday cake. It was pricey but very good! Super moist. There was a ton on frosting piled on the top plus a giant brownie and a carmel pour. The frosting was a little much but the brownie was amazing! The cake was way bigger than it looks in this picture for some reason.

I visited this place for the first time today because I’ve heard several things about it. I tried the chocolate cupcake and a cookie. To be honest although it nice seeing the many options I found the cupcake to be a bit dry, which was super disappointing.

We’ve been here several times. I appreciate how much hype this place has but we’ve tried baked food around the world and these don’t compare. We never get the cupcakes anymore, they’re always dry. Nanaimo bars are about the only thing I like but they’re not the best ones I’ve had. Weekends are insane with long lines. It’s nice to go somewhere that’s all vegan, but there are better desserts around.

Their products are very pricey (two regular-sized cupcakes came up to $11), but the cupcake I tried here (strawberry shortcake) was truly amazing. I would definitely come again if I was in town. One suggestion, though, is to make it clearer on their signs both inside and outside the establishment that it is a vegan bakery. I had idea it was until I went inside, and I still had to ask an employee because I wasn’t certain if they just had vegan options or if everything was vegan. I understand that they want to attract non-vegans, but I don’t think it would hurt their marketing to call themselves a vegan bakery or have a sign that reads, “everything is vegan/plant-based”.

The desserts were are scrumptious and welcoming as the atmosphere and staff. Mile high brownie and snickerdoodles are probably my favorites but you can't go wrong with anything you choose.

Cannot say enough good things about Kelly's. I have been coming here for years; even before I was vegan! They always have delicious cupcakes and brownies — the Mile High Brownie is to die for!! They also have vegan soft serve ice cream, which is so hard to find at a walk-in place! Everything is vegan; it's always an absolute dream walking in, and the staff are super friendly!

The only problem I ever have is deciding which cupcakes to get. The best tip I can give is to start be going for the ones you've never had - they're still going to be good.

I've never been in when there was not a queue and the queues have nothing to do with speed of service. It is genuinely that popular.
With all the hundreds (if not thousands) of customers that go through the store every week, I'm always totally blown away that they remember my name - that is true customer service and attention to detail

We came here after visiting Niagara on the Lake on the way back to Toronto. It was slightly out of the way but not too bad. Best. Decision. Ever.

The soft serve was amazing, The cookie was amazing. The cupcake was amazing. Why oh why didn't I try the mile-high brownie? If I'm ever in the area again I will go there on a totally empty stomach and eat everything. They also do loyalty cards - dangerous!
I recommend this place highly - and have heard nothing but good things about their cafe, Lettuce Love cafe, which is nearby.

We got a box of 12 cupcakes, a mile high brownie and a cook book so we could try and bake anything we couldn't eat on this trip! There is a huge selection of cupcake flavours each day and the mile high brownie is amazing (brownie, with icing, with marshmallowy stuff, with caramel, with more brownie). There is a bit of seating to eat in, but not a huge amount. Their cook book is great, I use it all the time.

A wonderful addition to the neighbourhood - Edit
Kelly's Bake Shoppe was a very welcome addition to the Burlington downtown. It's a great place to go when you feel like having a little treat. Most of the desserts are a bit sweet for my taste (they're quite a bit sweeter than some other bakeries), but they're nice once in a while. The raspberry squares are my favourite. The donuts are very good, too.
