Vegan Temple Food - Edit
Institutional-style vegan meal. Refused to accept any payment. Go to the shop adjacent to the parking garage and down the stairs.
Read moreTip: Do not drive a car to this temple the line to get out is at least an hour. Hire a motorbike or taxi to the temple and walk down the hill to catch another at the bottom when you leave.

Great options - Edit
Food was amazing, no complaints!! We had mock meats, fake duck, "chicken" kung pao, rice, tea. Service was slow, although we ordered before two large groups did, we were served later, so bring some patience😄

Cheap and Delicious - Edit
Located in the temple itself. Very yummy and cheap. Only about 50 ringgit for 4 people to have a full meal. The sweet and sour fish was very good. Ma po tofu was a bit bland. Good seaweed soup. Chow fun was very good too. Overall would eat again. Looks like all the food items are vegan but the drinks may not all be- Milo is not vegan.

Nice and affordable restaurant - Edit
Great food options for groups to share but also for single people. Directly below the temple, for this location I expected something expensive, but it really is not.

Simple food - Edit
Very simple restaurant with few options, I had seaweed soup which was decent size and very good taste, not too salty. Good food for Temple visitors. Some mock options too.

Great prices and portion sizes - Edit
Went here quite close to closing. Didn't expect them to have much left, if anything at all, but my stomach was rumbling so I thought I'd check. As predicted, they only had one dish left- noodles. Huge portion size but average tasting. Only RM5 so can't complain too much!

Good Vegetarian Food - Edit
We had the lunch set and some iced tea. It was delicious. Place is clean and air conditioned. Would recommend it if at the temple.

Great location with decent food - Edit
Traditional Chinese food along with some mock food dishes. We ordered some classic noodles and fried rice to share as a family and the portions was huge even for a single person large dish. The taste was decent on these. The seaweed soup was refreshing but the spring rolls wasn't worth eating really.

Full scale vegetarian restaurant - Edit
Located underneath the Kek Lok Si temple, this is a great restaurant with a huge selection of Chinese style vegetarian food. I have never seen the restaurant full of people, but that might be based on my own timing to eat around noon. You have to be somewhat familiar with Chinese food options to know what you will be ordering.

Amazing vegetarian Chinese food! - Edit
Loved going to Kek Lok Si and seeing the amazing sights. Then, hot, sweaty and hungry, my family and I found the vegetarian restaurant on our way out. It was nice and cool and not crowded at all when we went. We loved eating some of our favorite Chinese dishes in vegetarian form. The portions are big so we ended up taking home lots of leftovers which was fine with me! I can't wait for visitors to come so we can go back!

Good buddhist restaurant - Edit
It was so nice to walk into this place amidst all the tourists and trashy commerce around this temple and find a small haven. It was completely empty and they only had one set menu, which didn't bother us at all and we gladly took it. The set consisted of different veggies, rice, sauce and soup and everything had the perfect amount of spice added. The food was good and plenty, everything was clean and the price was not high at all. Couldn't have asked for a better place for a lunch break!

Not pricey, just tasty - Edit
Someone reviewed this place as pricey and so we were hesitant to try it. But then with the heat on a sunny afternoon we decided to go in anyway. The place was well decorated and kept clean. Turned out to be very good food and good value for money. For an air-conditioned restaurant the prices could be considered as inexpensive.
Read moreChat with one of the waiter. Apparently the restaurant is not a business but run by the temple. So we felt good having such a good feed and at the same time making some contribution to the temple.
Pros: air conditioning, good food, friendly staff

Saw the temple and enjoyed a fine lunch - Edit
I had been looking forward to visiting this temple and it did not disappoint -lots to see. The restaurant is as you are entering the bottom part of the temple (sort of) and is easy to find. We had lunch there around 2:00 pm so we really were the only customers and it is a very large restaurant. We ordered three small dishes from a menu that offered a great deal of choice. The food was nicely spiced and certainly was enough for the two of us. The staff was attentive and efficient.
