Popular local spot - Edit
We got the curry noodles (only menu item to order that day). Coconutty and very tasty. You can add the spicy sauce separately. Can also get takeaway noodles and spring rolls at the front stall. Staff friendly. Nice local feel to sit on the street side and seemed a popular place. Would recommend!

Yumyum - Edit
Delicious food at a great price! We got the curry noodles like everyone suggested. They were amazing! I am curious about all of the locals who were buying the noodles wrapped in paper to go. I will be back to experience that for myself.

Great street food - Edit
Quick and cheap street food! Very tasty and a big portion. The guy knew little English but pointed and asked if any egg/milk - he replied no egg or milk it is vegan, all plants. Can pick and choose what you want.

Curry Mee, I love you - Edit
More or less on the corner of a busy intersection lined with food places and vendors especially after dusk. Out front they usually sell fried noodles and various tempura-type stuff. Don't stupidly wait until somebody comes to you; ask for the curry noodles and take a seat inside. The soupy noodles - coconut milk based and served with a spoonful of spicy chilli paste - are quite popular and can run out during the evening, so go a little earlier if you can. At only a few MYR they're very filling and delicious, even though once might not think so when you're brought a smallish bowl of liquid goodness, topped off with different noodles and pieces of tofu. I went there numerous times over the New Year festive period

So good! So cheap! - Edit
I've been in Georgetown for 2 days and been this place both evenings! First night I had the curry noodles (laksa style noodles with tofu and potatoes) for 4rm! Cheapest food I've had on my travels so far! She gave me a spoon of chilli jam so I could add spiciness to it as I wished. The next night it was sold out so I tried the Java Mee. Also noodles in a plate with sauce. Again this was 4RM. She gave me a plate of beancurd in a hoisin and plum style sauce (that's what it tasted like) with sesame seeds, for free! I think it was as they were closing so thought she may as well get rid. The Chinese ladies working there are so lovely but only one understands a little English. However as there's only 4 meal

Pros: Cheap, Tasty
Cons: Not loads to choose from

Best place on Kimberley street - Edit
This place blends in with the food stalls right next to it, so it doesn't really feel like a restaurant. When we went they offered four different kinds of noodles / noodle soups and everything we tasted was good. I would even say that it was the best laksa we have had in Penang! The prices were extremely cheap, I think less than 5MYR each. Nobody there speaks much english, but you get along perfectly fine with pointing, since the menu is not exactly hard to understand or long. The only thing I disliked was the (mock) fish balls they put in, but they are easy to pick out. I would say this is the best place for dinner on Kimberley street!
