Vegan Comfort Food at Its Best - Edit
I have been to Kaya's multiple times over the years and always enjoyed it, but my last trip here this spring was the best so far. I ordered the French onion soup, something I haven't had in years, and it did not disappoint. My husband got the Italian sub, a special that day and was very pleased with it. My daughter's Impossible Cheeseburger was delicious, but they have a black bean option if fake meat isn't your thing. The sub and burger both came with tasty fries and ketchup. My son loved his french toast with home fries. It was a diner-style breakfast, and they serve breakfast until 2pm. We split some kombuchas that were very good as well. The booths were very cozy and family-friendly.
Read moreMy only regret is that as I was leaving, the table next to us got their pizza that looked like it was from the old-school pizzerias of my youth. Next time, I will be getting the pizza.
Pros: Lovely staff, Family-friendly, Lots of choices on the menu

Eh - Edit
I had the black bean burger and my partner had the lentil burger. Very good! You need to order more condiments since it doesn’t come with any. I believe the ketchup was complimentary. Would’ve been quite dry without ketchup and the tahini sauce I ordered. The side veggies to compliment the burger are extremely crisp fresh!

This is a lovely vegan eatery, however, lunch offerings are different from the dinner menu. We would have liked to order some of the interesting entrees, but they are not available for lunch.

Tons of Great Options 🌞 - Edit
The Kaya’s Combo (Appetizer) is a great way to try several different mock-meats and a little potato salad too. I also took a chance on the Eggplant Pesto sandwich which was pretty good although I wouldn’t cut anyone off from ordering to recommend it. Their desserts looked great and the Strawberry Crumb Donut was delicious.

Great variety! - Edit
Some in our party had a yearning for pizza, but we wanted to support the local vegan restaurant. Surprise! They have pizza...and so much more.
Read moreKaya's Kitchen served up pizza, quesadillas, cake, brownies for our group.
Most importantly, you have to try their appetizers! They do a great platter for sharing. You have to enjoy that BBQ tofu! The faux chicken is great in the BBQ sauce. Hey! Everything is great in the BBQ sauce, but if you like hot, there's that tempeh/tofu option.
We have to go back to experience more items!

The Best - Edit
The food is sooooo yummy! Our waitress was extremely friendly and smiling the whole time! The French Onion soup was fantastic, stroganoff and soul Seitan were really good! The Seitan Steak was burnt on a piece of it but otherwise it was super yummy! I highly recommend for everyone!

Hands down the best vegan restaurant around Monmouth and Ocean County. I have never been disappointed! Everything on the menu is vegan and it is a FULL menu with lots to select from. The have wonderful entrees, appetizers, and sandwiches. The servers are knowledgeable, kind, and have patience when I have a difficult time deciding between all the goodness. The have AWESOME desserts so save room. :)

Large Menu - Edit
A very large an dvaried menu, making it a good place to take non-vegans.
Read moreExcellent desert selections.
Friendly, helpful staff.
Disappointments:
- Stroganoff needed dairy-free sour cream and woul dbe better served over brown rice than pasta.
- Chocolate covered cannolis have cinnamon which for me was a odd combo and detracted from just cream and choclate flavors.
Pros: Large, varied menu, Friendly staff
