Great food - Edit
The menu is marked NV so you can easily see what isn't vegan. Great tasty food.

Great vegan breakfast - Edit
Breakfast and lunch menus had many vegan options. Food pricing was a lot cheaper than other restaurants in the vineyards and a lot nicer.
Read moreMeal size was large and vegetables were fresh. Would definitely return to this venue.

Mostly Vegan menu - Edit
Set amongst the Calais estates vineyard this is a must visit for a Vegan in the Hunter Valley.
Read moreThe menu on offer is designed around vegan options with the vegetarian choices marked as “NV” or not vegan. The vegan food is not an afterthought and this is evident in the tasty French provincial style dishes which use local bush spices and organic produce.
Highly recommend if you are in the area. The menu changes seasonally so have a look at their website.
Pros: Plenty of vegan options , Beautiful location

Delicious food in beautiful setting - Edit
Super impressed by Kawul. Very friendly wait staff and a nice balcony setting. We had the house made damper with garlic butter, gnocchi with macadamia cream and burger. All vegan and delicious! Great wines from the vineyard and house made sodas. The view is pretty, across to the vineyard. Definitely recommend if you’re in the Hunter.

Beautiful in many ways - Edit
Beautiful location, lovely building and atmosphere. Menu has “not vegan” options rather than vegan options. Nice for a change. Gluten free options marked. Wine list has vegan wines too, but light on for choices. Gnocchi was amazingly good.

Lovely spot - Edit
This was a great find in the Hunter Valley. Amazing spot overlooking the vineyard, the decor is beautiful and the staff are so lovely including the owner. The food was really nice, I had a pasta and my husband had a burger. Would definitely go here again!
