Also has a separate vegan selection with the usual Chinese takeaway sauces and choice of mixed veg, tofu, or vegan chicken. Brilliant vegan options in the city centre - Edit
Visited Kawa recently with friends and we all loved it! Their vegan options are incredible, both the tofu and the vegan chick'n were delicious. Service was very quick and friendly and the price was also decent for how good the food was. Will definitely visit again soon.

Not suitable for vegan/veggie - Edit
Despite having a designated vegan section of the menu, I would recommend vegans and vegetarians steer clear of Kawa because they clearly are not trying to avoid cross contamination.
Read moreI found a chunk of chicken in my teriyaki tofu and my partner later also found a different mystery meat in his vegan chicken chow mein. Since we had ordered the vegan chicken, we knew these definitely weren’t the mock meat replacement (especially since the actual mock meat with squishy and underwhelming). The chow mein itself was bland and not worth the cost but wouldn’t have been bad enough to warrant a negative review if it weren’t for the unwanted surprise meat.
Pros: Not much, the salt and chilli tofu was good!
Cons: We have failed veganuary despite 8+ years vegan

Fantastic wee place on Botanic, great service and delicious food.

Portion sizes were really good too, and lots of variety on the menu.
The teriyaki tofu is a huge portion too! Would definitely recommend it.
Only thing was, one of the people I was eating with ordered the vegan chicken pad thai and it did come with egg in it, so make sure to specify. They were really nice about it when informed too.
They also serve bubble teas, I don't believe the milk teas have any dairy alternatives, but the fruit teas are mostly vegan- I'd recommend checking just in case ad the one I ordered normally has cream in it, but they let us know and made it without.
Pros: Lots of vegan options , Good portion sizes, Delicious food
Cons: Accidentally gave egg in the vegan pad thai
