Cute coffeeshop - Edit
Cute coffeeshop with quite a few meatless and vegan options. Vegan bakery available and non-dairy milk for coffee. Some rotating specials are vegan too. I ordered the Greek tofu scramble wrap which was good but I would order it with sauce next time. The yam fries were a little burnt but cold.

Great atmosphere and some good options. - Edit
Cool place with good service and a few vegan options. There were some vegan tofu scrambles and 2 sandwiches. Also a peanut butter chocolate chip bar that was pretty good. Drinks were great as well!

Good Vegan Options - Edit
I love the Vegan options clearly marked on the menu (breakfast and lunch), alternative milk for coffee. I had the tofu scramble burrito with salsa and it was good. I'll definitely be back!

So good! - Edit
Lots of vegan options and they taste great! Last time I went here I got the greek tofu scramble wrap and it was amazing!! Seriously the best tofu scramble I’ve ever had. They also have other options like avocado toast and bakery items. They have multiple milk choices for lattes and such. 10/10 would recommend coming here.

Funky place w/great options - Edit
Funky little cafe along a busy downtown area of Green Bay. Friendly and knowledgeable staff about vegan options. They had two soups today, both vegan, and sandwiches that could easily be made vegan. I had vegetable soup with a southwestern wrap( no cheese or sour cream) and both were delicious.

Nice atmosphere. Have to ask which items are vegan - not listed on the menu. Delicious tofu scramble. Specials board lists vegan options. Desserts in display case have vegan labels.

Good options for its location - Edit
I was pleasantly surprised to find vegan bakery items at a coffee house in Green Bay! Kavarna has a pleasant atmosphere and a decent amount of vegan options (but there could always be more), definitely a lovely place to visit. As it is downtown, be prepared to parallel park.

Not much for vegans - Edit
There were a lot of vegetarian options. Latyes can be made vegan, etc.. But the bean burgers and the walnut burger all have dairy. The pitas contain whey. It's possible to substitute a tortilla for the pita, for the Mediterranean wrap. You can get salads without cheese. But they lack excitement. There were a couple vegan baked items, too.. and a selection of K'ul chocolates. I'm glad they could make it work.. but it wasn't straight forward at all.

Vegan Options - Edit
Definitely a go-to place for vegans in Green Bay. There aren't many places in the city where it's easy to find something to eat. Kavarna has several vegan options and plenty of vegetarian options that can be altered to make vegan. They also have vegan cupcakes and baked goods which is an even more rare Wisconsin find.

Not that friendly - Edit
I have been to Kavarna numerous times, however, the service is always disappointing. I find their staff to be a bit cold and distant which is the #1 reason I rarely go there.

Love it! - Edit
I appreciate being able to go to a restaurant & having real vegetarian options. The food here is so yummy. I especially enjoy the black bean burger with sweet potato fries. And the Rosewater Lemonade is so delicately delicious, my trip there wouldn't be complete without one.

Delicious and Family-Friendly - Edit
We went here last night after picking up some textbooks for my husband (a non-vegetarian). The food was amazing, and it was delivered to our table very quickly! I highly recommend the Squirrel's Burger, and my husband had the Black Bean Wrap. Even he admitted that it was really good- a high compliment from him when referring to vegetarian fare!
Read moreIt's in a neat building- I like the charm of distressed-looking iron railings and diamond-plated stairs. Exposed piping in the ceiling and concrete floors add to the almost steampunk-like charm.
They have a little children's play corner, which we apprieciated. It's hard to get the two year old to sit still and be relatively quiet when he's stuck in a chair with nothing to do.
I don't remember seeing any entrees that cost more the $9, and they also offer a kid's menu. They have a Toddler Plate for less than $3 with a bunch of different finger foods. While the little one didn't care for the olives and chickpeas, once we gave him the sour cream from my husband's plate to dip it in, he ate it right up. I only wish that the animal crackers were served seperately. Should've taken them off his plate while he was still playing :-).
All in all, a fantastic cafe; we will be back!

Amazing! - Edit
The food here is amazing! There are many options for people with specific dietary needs, and has a nice variety of options on the menu. The desserts that are served up front are delicious and the staff is some of the nicest people you will meet. If you don't feel like eating at the cafe you can always order "to go" and enjoy the meal at home.

Kavarna is no longer strictly vegetarian - Edit
Sorry to report that Green Bay has NO vegetarian restaurants available anymore. With the closing of Vita Rawstaurant, Kavarna remained the only purely vegetarian restaurant in North East Wisconsin until Kavarna opened its own meat-heavy deli ("Parisi's" http://parisisdeli.com/)at the same site.
Read moreKavarna still has mediocre vegetarian food and fair-to-good bakery items. Coffee is "Alterra". Staff is very friendly.
A purist sorely disappointed!
Pros: vegetarian menu offered, downtown site, kid-friendly
Cons: not strictly vegetarian, mediocre food

Hi Rob,
Read moreWe just phoned them and the said that Kavarna is still all veg. Their place next door (Parisi's) is not though.

Tried Kavarna again and got the same cold, indifferent ambience from staff and food. Because they offer vegetarian food, I want to support them, but... Poor quality salads, cold yam fries, meh mac n cheese. Have gotten better service w/o the attitude in French bistros.
Read moreAt least they aren’t claiming they’re all-vegetarian still.
Will try again next year
