Muchas opciones vegetarianas

Tienen menú en inglés y muchas opciones vegetarianas. El lugar se ve limpio (no como otros restaurantes de sushi con correa)

Cons: La mayoría de los sushi estaban fríos

Cannot recommend for vegans

I was so excited to go to a conveyer belt sushi restaurant, and this one did have a lot of vegan options. The things I tried were pretty good; nothing was amazing but it was tasty and a cool experience. I knew that I would see a lot of dead animals on the conveyer belt and was prepared for that, including things that still had their face. But I wasn’t prepared to watch fish be slaughtered in front of me.

Maybe the previous reviewers had a table instead of being at the bar like I was. I had received a few of my dishes and thought they were fine, when I saw something wriggling behind the bar. A few seconds later, before I could process it, the chef came and killed the crustacean with his hands (I’m being vague on purpose). I was upset but didn’t necessarily want to drag my dining companions out. I tried to look away from the prep area, but later I saw a live fish trying to flop away in the same spot and had to watch it be slaughtered in a pretty gruesome manner (again sparing on the details on purpose here - if you need to know so you can decide if you will go here. feel free to message me). I cancelled the rest of my order, paid my check, and left with my appetite ruined and my heart heavy.

I’m not usually squeamish about the fact that other people eat meat, but with so many good vegan options in Tokyo I simply can’t recommend subjecting yourself to that.

Nice Sushi Lunch

Located inside the Seibu department store we only waited about 10 minutes to be seated. It reminded me of Yo!Sushi back home. There is green tea available at the table which you prepare yourself - use the shaker and the hot water tap for instant green tea. You can take items from the conveyor belt but mainly they seemed to be fish dishes. Placing your order via the iPad was really easy and there’s an option to switch the menu to English. Everything that’s ordered via the iPad is made fresh. We had edamame beans, cucumber sushi rolls and some sort of plum sushi roll too which was different and tasty. I also tried the fermented soybean deep fried roll which was really nice, I think there were salads too but by this time we were full so didn’t investigate those. Unfortunately our seats had a view of the chefs preparing the fish which was the only downside as it made me feel queasy so be warned as you don’t get a choice of where to sit! It was cheap, definitely good value for money.

Pros: Easy to order

Cons: Seeing the fresh fish being prepared

Such yummy sushi

Special dedicated page for vegan and veggie options. The queue was about an hour but there were seats available which made it bearable and the food was so worth it! We also had a booth to the side of the restaurant where the food would be delivered by train, which was really fun. All the veg was fresh and the avocado tempura was the best!

Pros: Separate menu, Easy to order, Tasty

Very underwhelming, poor quality ingredients

Wasn’t expecting much, but you’d think in Japan they would at least have good quality rice and ingredients. Definitely will not be returning. Only cool thing was having your sushi delivered on a conveyor belt. Edamame was served cold, avocado was brown, salad was bland, tempura was very oily/ greasy. Makes me miss Canadian sushi. It’s a shame.

Recommend!

Great place to feel like you still get the full sushi experience even whilst vegetarian. The options were tasty and unlike others I didn't seem to get any fish products on mine. You can easily order on an ipad in English. I noticed after you can also pick up a card veggie menu card at the checkout. It seemed to be named something slightly different but was easy to find on 8th floor of the building. Tasty food!

Flexible but really needs innovation

Now, if you have never had vegan/vegetarian sushi/maki roll, you will love this place. Plenty of options. I have had vegetarian/vegan sushi in Singapore/Melbourne/New York/London and the innovation in such countries are amazing. Tokyo is still very behind on catering beyond the traditional sushi options for vegetarians. This place has potential but everything tasted quite similar.

Staff are friendly, speak English and very helpful. English menu available.

Pros: Flexible, Understand vegetarian/vegan, Many options/English speaking

Cons: Run in the mill stuff, Long queues

Decent options

Veg sushi in Japan can be a lot harder to find than in western countries. I think this place is great if you are traveling with meat eaters since there are options for everyone. The cucumber roll and daigaku imo were really good! If the smell of fish bothers you this may not be the place for you however.

Pros: Fun atmosphere, Decent options

Cons: Mostly fish/meat, Soy sauce has bonito in it

Tasty, cheap but not for super strict veggies/vegans

Really tasty, there were more veggie options than most other sushi places here but prepare for a long wait on an evening, up to an hour. It was fun to experience the conveyor belt system and the veggie options are so cheap you can try loads of different things and it won't cost much. I asked for the vegetarian menu, the pickled eggplant on there did unfortunately come with fish flakes on top but me (who hates any kind of fish taste) and my non-veg partner couldn't taste any hint of fish stock in the other options . Probably not the best place to come if you're strict (as will be the case with most places in Japan) as it can be hard to communicate with the staff in English and there's going to be cross contamination but the experience, cost and quality of the food i could eat made it worth it. I would recommend the inari sushi, seaweed mayo sushi, kanpyo roll, cucumber roll, omelette sushi and make sure you try avocado tempura, I'm not usually the biggest avocado fan but it was amazing! Don't order the pickled eggplant, the bits on top of it on the picture are fish flakes. Wouldnt recommend the okra sushi either, very slimy

Pros: Delicious food, Fun conveyor sushi experience

Cons: One veggie option had fish flakes

NO.

First of all, you'll have crab tongs hanging from every second plate, and other fish parts. Gross.
Secondly, we asked the waitress explicitly (in japanese) if there is fish in the tufo salad, she said no, and then it came with fish chips and some kind of white sea worms that definitely had eyes. The other vegan dishes were eatable.

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Triggering , Not tasty

Great choice!

There were a handful of vegetarian options to choose from, I wasn’t sure what was fully vegan but you could easily choose what you wanted from the screens, which had an English menu. There was a small wait but definitely worth it! The Avocado rice and avocado tempura was my favourite, and overall the food was very cheap!

Pros: Lots of vegetarian options (6-7), Easy to navigate, Cheap

Cons: Live fish with open kitchen, Soy sauce is not vegetarian/vegan, Seating is divided (not the best for groups)

Cons: Temps d'attente

Fun experience for some fine sushi

As others said, there was a wait to get in - only maybe 15 minutes for us though. We also brought our own soy sauce as the two in-store sauces contained bonito.

This is essentially a normal fish-heavy sushi establishment that serves some options that happen to be vegan. There were not many options, but what we ate was fine. We had a couple of different things (not many available) but pretty much just ate avocado sushi for dinner. Nothing on the train was vegan, so we ordered our own on the ipads (as did most other people).

Our first order took 30+ minutes to come out (for 4 basic rolls), but every other order came out fairly quickly. We ate so much avocado sushi and left extremely full, and it cost us 3000y - so great value for money if you are happy with the lacking options.

Fun and affordable

Please bring your OWN SOY SAUCE! The one they use in the shop has fish inside. We didn’t know before we came so we had no soysauce with our sushi. Would have been an upgrade if we brought our own, BUT other than that it’s a fun and playful experience and very fresh and delicious taste, many veggie options! Give it a try!!! 😁👍

Some vegan options

Look this place had some vegan options (avocado nigiri and inari) but doesn’t have classics like avocado maki and vegan tempura. Easy to order through iPad though (in English). Very cheap.

Great sushi but be specific when you order

Great veggie sushi with maybe the most variety to choose from.
However, please specify to waitress no fish/ no cod roe as some vegetarian dishes come with this on top (this is very common in Japan) unlike western countries

Very well made rice, avocado was my favourite (not easy to get here) and was good price for the freshness and quality

Restaurant’s in Japan will rarely mention fish flakes or code roe because this is completely normal for them. Please take this into consideration when visiting regular places (non-vegan.) Always just double check and say NO FISH

Pros: Lots of veggie options, Value for money, Fresh

Cons: Some dishes are served with fish flakes or cod ro

Extremly busy but okay food

It is a long line for sushi that isnt anything special. They do have more vegetarian sushi and if you want to try kaiten sushi, it might be a good place. Got some pieces that was frozen but overall okay place with cheap food.

Amazing

This was extremely busy - if you plan to sit in make sure you leave with plenty of time to wait. I got take away and it was amazing and pretty cheap as vegan plates are 110 yen each (cheapest). Highly recommend. If you ask for the vegetarian menu they will give you all options

Pros: Amazing quality and great price

Cons: Long wait

Limited but tasty

Couldn't spot the name in English but it's on the 8th floor with all the restaurants and it's the only big sushi train place there. You can see the nice avocado sushi on their menu pictures outside. The staff were very friendly, and we had a combination of ordering from the iPad (in English) typing in the item numbers from the big picture book menu, and taking a few potato dishes off the train (I didn't try to ask if they were vegan friendly, just hoped for the best! They tasted ok). There were just a handful of veggie based options in the menu book, but they were very nice. The pickled eggplant looks like it has the shaved fish on top in the picture so it's more a choice of avocado, cucumber, or pickle type rolls that seem vegan. Possibly a few more if can speak Japanese to get the mayo or fish left off?

Pros: Most veggie stuff was on the cheapest plates, Good taste, Staff were friendly

Many vegan options

Really nice atmosphere and really nice service. Food comes on a train and is super delicious. I ate here like 4 times now!

At my 5th time eating there I saw they have an aquarium with living animals in there and when somebody orders them they get killed in front of you (when you are sitting on the bar). I just think that's a fact you should know before visiting.

Pros: Very cheap!

Cons: They also sell shark fin soup

Too crowded now

They've removed some of the delicious vegan options from the menu recently : no more eggplant sushi or stir fried tofu. You're left with maybe 5 options, 7 if you include stuff like French fries.

I've been coming here for a while and the crowds keep getting bigger. Assume 40 mins queuing outside the door.
Probably due to good reviews on the English and Chinese language internets.

On the other hand, it's cheap: I spend

Pros: Cheap but decent quality

Cons: Massive queues , Fewer vegan options now
