They now only have three vegan options, one of which is cauliflower which I am intolerant to, and the other a salad which wasn’t great and came with what I’m convinced is non-vegan mayo.
I don’t recommend coming here - staff didn’t understand what vegan meant, even when mentioned in polish.
They only have 3 vegan dishes now, the beetroot soup is only with meat...
Ordered the mushrooms dish, 46pl, not bad but finished it in about 7 minutes (and I'm a slow eater...).
Znalazłam dużą ilość wegetariańskich i kilka wegańskich dań, opisy brzmią przepysznie, a ceny oczywiście zakopiańskie. Zamówiłam zupę krem z buraka oraz rydze z patelni i rozpłynęłam się przez te smaki. Oczywiście wystrój typowo góralski, przepiękne i klimatyczne miejsce. Bardzo polecam!
If you'd go to the polish mountains and ask for anything vegan, there's a big chance you'll be laughed at. This area isn't vegan-friendly at all. BUT there are only few places that want to change it. And so I present to you: Karczma Sabała. Wonderful restaurant where you can feel the true spirit of the mountains. Everything is made of wood, there's a regional music and you can get a beautiful view on the most popular street in Zakopane called Krupówki.
Now about the food, cause it's too goddamn good. I've ordered beetroot cream soup and then saffron milk cap mushrooms fried in olive oil. Do I need to tell you how tasty and delicious it was? It was terrific! I'm still thinking about the soup, four months later as I write this review. Prices are quite high, unless you're paying with euros or dollars, then it's fine I guess.

Vegan options are good - Edit
It’s not easy to find vegan anything in Zakopane. Big points to this restaurant for having clearly marked vegan options that deliver on taste.
