Delicious :)

Definitely reccomend the miso eggplant as a starter! Incredibly soft and full of flavour. Main course was the Granny Poke Bowl (not sure about the name) which tasted very fresh, but was a bit too sour for my taste.

Good option

Close to Versailles palace.
Miso soup, veggie rolls and apple poke were very good, and portions are very generous. However it’s pretty expensive, probably because of location.

Pros: Big portions

Cons: Expensive

At the corner of the Château de Versailles

Located just next to one entrance of the castle, this Japanese restaurant was a good choice on this cold Sunday ! I choose the classic Udon (normally comes with Narutomaki 🍥 but I asked to remove it)

Staff was really nice 👌

Some dishes can be a bit expensive

Une bonne option

Le kampai c'est le restaurant où je peux sortir facilement sur Versailles
Les options vegan (makis etc.) sont très correctes
Il existe un deuxième restaurant place du marché avec également des options vegan (ramen et makis améliorés)

Fresh and Friendly

We had a great dinner experience here. We tried the seaweed salad, avocado maki, veg roll, spicy edamame, and miso soup, saki, and green tea.The food was very fresh and the staff were really friendly. Though I speak French fluently, they spoke English to accommodate my mom, who dined with me. The bill came in under €50.

Bad experience

The food was edible but disappointing, it doesn't seem to be an authentic japanese restaurant as they cook japanese dishes in a chinese way, as they seem to be chinese. Some people wouldn't tell the difference but I went to Japan and ate at real japanese restaurants and can tell the difference. we read so many good reviews that we thought it was going to be good, but even if the food was disappointing the worse thing was the treatment, we were the only customers at the restaurant as we arrived there early, and still were completely ignored by the waitress, who pretended we weren't there. We could feel so much hate from her that it made us feel very uncomfortable, we didn't understand what the problem was as we were both kind... we wil never know.. but we felt very uncomfortable at being completely ignored and receiving such an arrogant treatment. We left hoping they didn't put anything nasty in the food.

delicious vegan roll

Nice japanese restaurant. Omnivore but offer vegan and vegetarian options.
When we visited the Château de Versailles, this was the best choice because there were almost no vegetarian restaurant in Paris suburbs and most of them were omnivore french restaurants and offers only french fries as vegan food.
10 minutes walking from the castle.
Nice place, very clean. Nice waitress. She knows what vegan means. The food is delicious, very tasty. Pretty presentation.

Soup miso, cabbage salad, vegan rolls, avocado makis, cucumber makis (and cheese options), rice...
Only one vegan desert but very good : tapioca, mango and coconut milk.

10 vegan roll : 10 euros
Formule verte (vegetarian) : 15.50 euros

Opening every day 12:00 14:30 / 19:00 22:30

Pros: tasty, vegan choice

Cons: a little bit expensive

Delicious, healthy, veg-friendly food

Have been looking for healthy gluten-free vegan food in France. Found it at Kampai. Really nice staff, great environment upstairs and downstairs. Lovely evening. I enjoyed the miso soup, algae salad, and vegan roll without the sauce. It was perfect, GF and vegan.
My family had regular sushi and also thought it was delicious.
Highly recommend it for plant-powered people visiting or staying in this area around Paris.

Pros: Delicious, Great ambience, Nice staff

Great vegan options in Versailles

Versailles is very poor in vegan options. French food is not vegan friendly... This new restaurant opened in june 2015. The waitress are very friendly and the owner is very aware to vegan clients. So they decided to improve their vegan offer. I tried the vegan roll wich is one of the chief sgnature dishes. This was really delicious and satisfying. Sure I will come back and try the tofu udon noodles. Or maybe the vegan roll one more time :-)

Pros: Friendly staff, Good value, One of the only option in Versailles
