Best starter I've ever had - Edit
The bang bang chicken was the best starter I've ever had - definitely recommend. There was so much to choose from. I got the Cambodian coconut curry with seitan and it was really tasty. Very creamy, a little bit spicy but not too much. The lamb curry was also delicious. Definitely check this place out if you haven't been already.

Delicious - Edit
The name of the restaurant has changed to Kambuja, the same location.
Read moreThe food was exceptionally great.
I got Battabang noodles with tofu and Bao bun jackfruit. Both dishes were super tasty, decent sized and just flavoursome.
My friend got cauliflower to start with, garlic and chilli chips and Coconut curry with tofu ( forgot the name). He was really happy with his.
Tried some of his and they were tasty, especially the curry.
Portions are really reasonable. Got there for the lunch menu.
Worth the trip

Great food with a good selection of tasty vegan food. Proper Cambodian cuisine. - Edit
This restaurant never disappoints. Rarely had such fabulous authentic Cambodian cuisine outside of Cambodia, (only in Paris). Food is exceptionally good.

Amazing vegan menu - Edit
Such an awesome place! There's a completely vegan starter and main menu and the food is delicious. We had numerous starters like the fried tempeh, cauliflower wings and spring rolls and had a curry each. My curry was the tofu Cambodian Kari and it was so so good. Really tasty.

Packed vegan menu! - Edit
So tasty - highly recommend the cauliflower sriracha wings and the vegan ginger sauté! Usually in this area you’d struggle to get more than one or two options on an entire menu but this place has two whol pages of options!
Read moreWe can go back again and again and have different options each time.
They even threw in some tempeh on top of the protein source which was appreciated.
Awesome staff and service too. Busy tho - so book online in advance.
(Only reason this isn’t 5* is because Happy Cow saves 5 for fully vegan restaurants but it would be worth the extra start!)

Pros: Spring rolls are decent portion size, Not too expensive - £50 for 2, Service is brill, they ‘get’ vegans

Absolutely excellent vegan Cambodian food - Edit
I don't care that this place serves meat and therefore cannot get a 5 star rating, it deserves a 5 star rating. It's excellent for vegan food! You need to go there now.

Deserves 5 stars! - Edit
Having never had Cambodian food I was excited to have found this restaurant in a small time offering so many vegan options! While there are several reviews criticizing the small portions I can not confirm that for my meal - but then we also had starters as the vegan menu has so many options and we wanted to try as many of them as possible! The sciracha cauliflower wings are to die for and the every option for the main had an option to add tofu or seitan. Most amazing seitan ever - would highly recommend adding that to a main dish! I would highly recommend this place but also highly advise to book in advance as it seems to be a very popular place!

Top notch cuisine for everyone - Edit
Angkor Soul has always had a really nice friendly atmosphere when we've gone. It offers a full vegan menu and a lot of dishes on the main menu are replicated as vegan options. The food is exceptional Cambodian, Thai, Vietnamese cuisine and if you're lucky you can get downstairs to the private dining room to either eat there and play their collection of vinyls or if it's empty you can browse and buy some. Really great place to take a group with mixture of diets and not feel like you're getting second class options as a vegan. Would have given 5 stars if it would let me.

Stingy portions - Edit
Angkor soul used to be our favourite place to eat but the quality and quantity is now 1/3 of what it used to be sadly. The food still tastes good but isn’t worth the money due to portion size

Cambodian Restaurant in Marple! - Edit
Right next door to Marple's quirky retro cinema is Angkor Soul. Their menu lists vegan options, and they say that other items on the menu can be veganised on request.
Read moreIt's so great to have a restaurant with vegan choices listed on the menu, I don't think there are any others in Marple. I had a delicious tofu curry and beautifully fresh, spicy fried tofu salad.
Angkor Soul's owners are fans of vinyl records, so you can browse through the stock of their vinyl shop while you're there.
If you are going to the cinema next door afterwards, tell Angkor Soul and they will give you a discount - what more could you want?
Pros: Delicious cambodian vegan options, Vinyl record boutique, Discount to Marple Cinema
Cons: Limited opening times
