I don't know why it won't let me give 5 stars
Read moreIncredibly vegan-knowledgeable servers. The food is fantastic. We had the channa masala, vegetable curry, pakora and samosas. The servers were so friendly...my kids even took a selfie with them.
Pros: Most of the menu can be made vegan, Great parking, Friendly and knowledgeable servers

Not great - Edit
Clearly marked veggie and vegan options. We had the veggie thali (pretty big portion) and aloo gobi (big serving of rice served with small bowl of aloo gobi, not in proportion). It all wasn't really flavorful. Kinda bland. Food was lukewarm when it arrived. Pretty pricey place, considering.
Read morePalak paneer was nice though (part of the thali, but you can order it as a seperate dish as well).
Place looked clean. Not really cosy. We sat outside. Some chickens roamed the terrace, which was fun.

Mediocre - Edit
Had clearly labeled vegan options but the portions were a bit small (and medium is extremely spicy). The water had things floating in it...

Disappointed - Edit
Nice clean restaurant but the service we received was not welcoming or satisfactory. I usually get medium spicy at my home restaurant but since I wasn't sure how spicy this would be I asked for a suggestion for just a hint of spice. He said "mild plus" Ok. Well it was SO spicy my lips were on fire. I could feel the burn as it hit my stomach. I couldn't eat it. I asked if they would be willing to remake it or if there was a way to add anything to cut the spice. He said "no, that's mild plus that you asked for". Wow, guess the customer doesn't come first here. They brought out a mango smoothie. He suggested I drink it to help me to be able to eat the food I ordered. It looked as if it had milk in it, wasn't sure and wasn't in the mood to ask at that point. I didn't want a mango smoothie. I wanted dinner. There are a few options for Vegans however this is not a stop I will return to.

Excellent! - Edit
We were pleasantly surprised with the wide variety of vegan options at the buffet. All of the vegan dishes at the buffet were delectable! My family and I had a great experience there and would highly recommend Kamana for any vegan Indian food lovers like us!

Amazing veg options. - Edit
We originally were going to monsoon India as they had more reviews but we’re very happy we accidentally came here! Plenty of vegan options (the veggie samosas and pakora are delicious), and a small section of the menu is dedicated to vegan dishes. As most ethnic cuisine, the medium spicyness was really spicy for me, but my girlfriend gobbled it up. I ordered a mild aloo gobi and was completely satisfied. I was only disappointed that the naan was made with milk, but our meal was so delicious it made up for that. Will return!

WOW! WOW! WOW! - Edit
We just returned from our amazing dinner at Kamana Kitchen (our first time). What a find!
Read moreWe're from the Seattle area where, because of Microsoft, we have the most amazing Indian cuisine. At least once a week we eat at one of the dozens of awesome places near us so we KNOW good Indian food very well.
The portions at Kamana are insanely large and every item we ate was totally on point. We asked for medium spice and all the dishes were perfect. The staff was so very personable and friendly. Everyone who works there is Nepalese, yet the food is northern Indian. Whatever....
I ordered the Vegetarian Thali and it was way more food that any normal hungry person could ever eat! What a total deal. My husband's food was also delish.
We're so thrilled that Maui has such a wonderful Indian restaurant. Now I KNOW for sure that I could live here!
Pros: Fabulous and authentic Indian flavors, Huge portions, Extremely friendly staff
