Kalamaras

This was a nice place overall to have vegan friendly Greek food. The restaurant is located down a cute mews/side street. The staff were very friendly. While they had three vegan main courses, I opted to order various starters and sides instead, as the mains were very eggplant/aubergine focused (not a vegetable I like much). The greek salad (made vegan), hummus, and other sides were good, I'd go back again.

Wonderful vegan Greek food!

I absolutely love Greek food so I was so pleased to find this great restaurant with vegan options. There is a brilliant vegan set menu as well. The moussaka in particular is incredible!

Pros: Great food, Very friendly , Generous portions

Chance to eat greek

As other critics mention it’s really rare to get the chance to have greek food as a vegan, so we were happy to find this place. The staff was really (overwhelmingly) friendly, tho they were quite stressed sometimes. The recommendations were good anyways! We both had the vegan menu which consisted of Baklava served with honey as a dessert. Obviously, honey isn’t vegan which was a bit of a shame, but it was organic and we wanted to “have the full experience” so we ate it. The whole menu was delicious, especially the Baklava although they could have used something different to sweeten it...

Pros: Great greek ambiente, Prepared for vegans

Cons: My main dish was kind of warm-cold inside..., ...so don’t hesitate to ask if they could heat..., ... it up again

Lovely place, good food

All vegan options on the menu were very clearly marked. The mezze was truly delicious (especially the giant beans). Atmosphere was very cosy and the restaurant itself had a cute charm with lots of interesting decorations. Hidden away from the main road so you can barely tell you're in central London. Staff were helpful, funny and full of character.
Only downsides were that the restaurant was very cramped and there was a bit of a mishap with my main dish. Ordered the vegan moussaka and instead was brought some vegetable skewers with rice. He put this down as if it was what I ordered then one of my colleagues stated that it wasn't. He then claimed that there was no moussaka left and that this was my alternative (altho there were two alternatives and I should have been given a choice in this case). As I stared confused and sadly into my Mushrooms he decided that actually the kitchen could make a new moussaka from scratch for me and brought out a slice 10 minutes or so later. After this I didn't feel like I could trust the guy as the story didn't really make sense and was put off by how cheesy my miraculously found moussaka tasted (probs just the seed of doubt in my mind) ...

Pros: A variety of vegan options, tasty mezze, good vibe, Nice location, lots of character

Cons: Very cramped , Staff not honest about mistakes

vegan Greek set menu

We were staying at the La Suite West next door and only found by accident this Greek restaurant on Happy Cow and were delighted to find it offered a vegan menu.

We enjoyed the vegan set menu (see pics) and tried all the dishes. Very fresh and tasty. Prices very reasonable as well.

We had a chat with the owner who said the vegan menu was introduced only recently. Hopefully they will take up our recommendation to adds some vegan feta style alternatives to their vegan Greek salad. He seemed impressed the some of the biggest vegan cheese makers are Greek companies!

Pros: Full vegan menu available , Nice cosy setting for a meal, Very reasonably priced

Cons: Hopefully will add more options

It Has Been A Long Time

It has been 22 years since I became a vegan and thought I would never have Greek food again. Nice meal; the vegan choices are clearly marked.

Pros: Great to have a Greek meal that is plant based., Friendly and helpful service., Good atmosphere; not too loud.

Barely vegan options but...

The waiters were all so nice and friendly and all caring about my many dietary requirements. I was there on a group dinner where we took over the entire restaurant and we had a fixed menu. I am vegan and allergic to peppers which really confused them. I got vegetarian dishes and dishes with peppers but they were all promptly changed as soon as I told them there was a problem with my food. It was very busy though so I completely understand. They were absolutely lovely.

Pros: Their olives are more than divine, Service is excellent, Dishes are really tasty

Cons: Not too many options, Not easiest to get through dietary requirements
