Among Adelaide’s best pizzas - Edit
With mixed reviews from different points in time, it was tough to gauge what to expect from Kako. If the Peri-Peri pizza was anything to go by then they are successfully hitting it out of the park! Sooo good with perfect flavour balance, excellent melty cheese and faux chicken. Super friendly and just a fab menu for vegans all around. Will def come back to try another.

Friendly staff, food is always neatly presented and hot, and the vegan cheese is great with so many toppings and choices for vegans!

Used to be great pizza, but since the vegan guy left, the pizzas have been a let down. Each time I’ve ordered, it’s basically a base with toppings that are falling off and the vegan cheese is like hard straw on top. It’s a shame, rewind back one to two years and they were serving great pizzas.

Read moreWhile we're now spoiled for choice in Adelaide for vegan pizza, this is unquestionably the best and makes up for all those years of sad vegan pizzas being something off a non-vegan menu minus the good stuff (i.e. tomato paste, rocket and a bit of mushroom). This is outstanding stuff and I can't wait to try the pasta range.

Best Pizza in Adelaide! - Edit
Kako Pizza, although a small pizzeria has one of the largest menu's I've ever seen. The choice and range for vegans is incredible and I've always had amazing pizzas from Kako.
Read moreThe wait time for pizzas can be up to 40 minutes on busy nights and they haven't always gotten my pizza order right. I will say the last.. I dunno 10 times I've been there (whoops?) they haven't messed up once! They are super generous with their toppings which is such a bonus! The notzarella cheese is to die for, my entire non-vegan family even love it! All the classic pizzas that you'd find anywhere are on the menu just made vegan! They even have their own custom pizzas which are experimental by nature, but delicious none the less!
I absolutely love Kako, my entire family loves Kako and even tho it's a 40 minute drive to go there and back, I still get it all the time!
Please try the Hawaiian or the Supreme vegan pizzas, they do not disappoint!

The owner is incredibly friendly and made us a vegan party size Pizza (half Hello Vegan, half Roasted pumpkin).. sooo yummy!! And so big!! O.O we finished it next day and it was still very good.. :)
There is no doubt, a must try!!
Ps. I think there was no vegan desserts so maybe it would be good to have sweet vegan pizzas.. like one with vegan Nutella.. ;)
Ps.2 I wanted to give it 5 stars but the page doesn't let me do it, the 5 stars are reserved only for full vegan places. I do not agree, at least in this case, because this pizzeria is doing an effort to have vegan pizzas: I had a good chat with the owner and he told me that he had been even insulted for making vegan pizzas. He is not vegan but he tried so many vegan stuff in order to be able to give people the best products, and now the majority of his clients are vegan. Plus he prepares everything for separated and with gloves: veg stuff on one side, not vegan stuff on the other.
So I'll give the stars it actually deserves here.. 5+ stars for Kako's!! :)

Plenty of choices, vegan cheese melts and the pizza us very tasty. Easily the best vegan pizza in Adelaide. Great customer service with friendly staff.
