Too oily - Edit
Everything was extremely oily and very unhealthy. I did not feel good after eating here. The stuffed paratha the least oily dish we tried.

More please - Edit
Chole bhatura, absolutely divine. A beautifully fluffy bhatura, with a soft sumptuous chole. Indulgent delight.

Quality Enough To Stand By Its Signature Dishes - Edit
Obviously, there's never a shortage of vegetarian options for when you're wanting Indian food but usually, it's a pretty standard menu and you know what you're going to get. To see a restaurant really stand behind specialty dishes made it an intriguing place to visit and am really glad we did.
Read moreSo Kailash, for what it's lacking in some of the usual Indian restaurant staples, really highlight their chaats and their vast variety of street-food inspired dishes. We made sure that our ordering covered all of these as much as possible.
Going with the largest of the bhatura, you get four different varieties of bhatura with a chickpea-based dipping curry. All of the bhaturas were light and up to the task, even if they did have a little bit too much oil on the outside and you could definitely tell the difference between all four in terms of appearance. I would say that there wasn't *that* much difference in taste between them, so maybe having four different ones wasn't entirely necessary, but the curry itself was so delicious, this was quickly forgotten. Out of the three things we ordered, this would be the one I'd insist upon ordering the least though.
This was also my first time having a frankie, a curry-flavoured, potato-filled tortilla wrap of absolute goodness. This was a complete revelation and I would insist on adding one of these to whatever you're ordering. We liked it so much, that we attempted making our own at home that very week!
So we came to the signature dish, the KP Chaat platter. And the verdict, was a resounding, "Yes, please!". The plate is divided into four with the different chaats placed under piles and spice, flavourings and various veg. Each were uniquely different and ate surprisingly well. The best part was towards the end, when they all got a bit mixed up on the plate so you didn't know exactly what you were getting with each bite. It was such fun to eat!
The eating was excellent and the pricing is definitely reasonable considering the uniqueness of the food and how full you end up feeling afterwards. The only negative that I could think of, is that the bathrooms are pretty grim. But for this food, I'd make sure to go before leaving the house. Highly recommended!
Pros: Out-Of-The-Ordinary Menu Items Worth Ordering, Flavour Explosions And Well-Thought Out Dishes, Pleasant Interior And Good Service
Cons: Bathrooms Should Be Avoided

Great Vegan Indian - Edit
I went to Kailash Parbat for the first time and was blown away with the selection of clearly indicated vegan options. The food didn’t disappoint, between great curries and freshly made bread. The ambience was decent- certainly somewhere to take a date- and the price was right.
Read moreTwo issues- one, there was a hair in one of my dishes. Not a huge deal, but something for management to pay attention to. Second, there were at least a couple dishes we attempted to order that were not available. I understand the pandemic restrictions make it tough, but suggest they update their menu to avoid disappointing folks.
Overall though, a lovely restaurant worth a visit.

Delicious Indian food! - Edit
I like the fun, quirky and colourful decor.
Read moreThe menu is really extensive though some items were not available! As an Indian who loves Indian food, I was spoilt for choice and they have some dishes which I haven’t seen elsewhere. The food is superb. Everything we had was great:
- Masala dosa - delicious
- Chole bhaturas - amazing gravy, tons of flavour, served with two huge puri
- Samosa chaat - best samosa chaat I have tried
- Lasooni dal tadka - loads of garlic and coriander.. delicious
- Bhindi curry - Bhindi is my favourite Indian vegetable. This dish was really good and served in a spinach based gravy which is a unique combination and tasted great.
The menu I was originally given did not have vegan labelling. When I asked for a vegan menu, they passed me another menu which was the same as the original one including vegan stickers. They should probably just add those stickers to all of their menus.
Recommend to specify vegan when ordering vegan dishes.

Great Indian food - Edit
Great service, great food, great decor, reasonable prices. Lots of unusual dishes I had never tried before so I was happy to explore this. Vegan items clearly marked in menu, although some items listed yogurt/cheese as ingredients so not sure how accurate this is. Make sure to specify vegan as they often put a drizzle of yogurt on their curries.

Excellent Indian/Punjabi food - Edit
Went there recently with a friend for dinner.
Read moreActually we wanted to leave after one minute, because it was too cold. (I will never understand so many venues adjust their AC to such insanely low temperatures.) But one waitress convinced us to stay. She gave us a table further away from the other guests and turned the AC off where we were seated.
At first it was hard to tell which dishes were vegan, until we were given another menu (in fact the same menu just with stickers indicating what's vegan).
My friend had a vegetable soup and a curry with rice (both very good), I had a noodle dish, that was fine, except for the oil used (most places in HK seem to use soybean oil or corn oil, something you would rather not find in Europe - it's tastes different, and I claim it's of lower quality compared to canola oil for instance). Still, seasoning very good, great, flavourful food!
Salty lime water also very nice!
Staff friendly and helpful, prices also very reasonable.
Would recommend and definitely go again.

Lovely lunch menu - Edit
Had a great set lunch menu (from HK $79) Service was excellent. Waitresses explanation very clear. The paneer Pilaf rice was the fluffiest I've ever eaten. It comes with free soft drink and dessert too. I'd definitely come back for more. Maybe dinner even.
Read morePros: Great service. Good food.
Cons: Its hidden away on 3rd floor. You need to find it.
