CLOSED?

We went to this place today (in the designated opening hours) and it was closed. The name on the door was something else and it seems like they were doing refurbishments inside: it looks to me like this place has shut down and is being replaced by another restaurant. We will report it to Happy Cow but we thought we should leave a review as well to help others avoid a trip to this place for nothing!

the cosiest place with the most delicious cakes!

Kafé PUUR is not at all in my area but every once in a while I get a craving for good vegan cake (without refined sugar) and I just know where I have to go to get it. These days I combine it with a vegan burger, because Katleen serves one of the best ones in town, too :)
The place is really cosy, before you realise it's one or two hours later, you had an excellent lunch and feel satisfied, and had a good chat and lots of new dreams and plans!

Pros: good value food, cosy & small place, friendly owner

Amazing cafe with relaxing atmosphere!

I highly recommend this place for a nice lunch or coffee-break. You need the atmosphere, good music and friendly service after a nice walk in the streets of Antwerp.
I visited it twice during my stay in Antwerp, and both experiences were absolutely fantastic. I came there by accident, walking on the Nationalestraat.
On my first visit I satisfied my cravings with carrot cake, which was perfectly moist, not that sweet and all the tastes were well-balanced. The lady there is very talkative and friendly. Plus, she bakes the oat cookies there, which creates homie atmosphere with mouth-watering cookie smell.
The other time I came by with my friend and we had fully vegan sandwich with a burger and vegan cheese. My friend actually asked me if I were sure that the burger indeed vegan is. The taste of this burger was amazing, well flavoured and 'juicy'.
For the dessert, we both had a cake. I chose lime-coconut-cashew pie and she took a chocolate cake. Amazing! Both of the cakes were not that sweet, but satisfied our cravings.

I hope to go there once more before I leave, to try their Vegan Chocomousse and Coffee Latte with speculoospasta and speculoos cookies.

Pros: Very cozy, small place, Delicious vegan food, Soy, almond, oat milk option

Cons: in the concealed street
