Exceptional quality food - Edit
Exceptional flavor. High quality real food - not a bunch of processes fake foods. Love the stew, red and green chutneys, veggie dumplings, date salad, non-acoholic drinks - especially the frozen mint lemonade. Great portions. Have to make slight modifications to menu options - like remove cheese/yogurt. Vegetarian section to menu. Wonderful staff. Staff informed me that owners are great people and even quietly support women of Afghanistan.

Delicious & large quantity of food but unclear vegan options - Edit
Kabul House has delicious food if you're able to figure out which items are vegan (or how to make the items vegan)! Some servers are not 100% knowledgable about which items are vegan (make sure to double check about butter, honey, etc.) but here's what I've learned so far:
Read more-The only vegan rice is the one with carrots & raisins (the other options contain butter)
-Most of the vegetarian options are vegan if you ask for no yogurt on top. The pumpkin entree contains honey.
Overall, the food is yummy and the portion sizes are huge (massive plate of rice!) but you'll need to be careful when ordering.
Pros: Delicious food , Large portion sizes, Unique dishes
Cons: Unclear which options are vegan , Food can be somewhat too oily

Seriously fantastic!!! - Edit
It takes a lot to get me excited about a restaurant or it’s food and yet today, Kabul House managed to do both.
Read moreI’m vegan, and there was no shortage of options. I ordered the vegetable qorma (sp?) at the very friendly and personable server’s recommendation and it was phenomenal. Seriously. If you do dairy, you’ll find additional options as some veggie dishes contain yogurt. Items aren’t labeled vegan, so you’ll have to ask (come to think of it, you should probably confirm that the qorma is vegan if it matters to you, as I made an educated assumption that it was).
Anyway, I can’t wait to go back to this place. I wish I was allowed to give it five stars but it does serve meat so I’m not allowed.
Pros: Fantastic food!, Fantastic service, if you appreciate a more leisur, Great ambiance, decor, etc.
Cons: My mom thought the service was a little slow, but
