Disappointing - Edit
There are better options than this restaurant. Quite disappointed with the food and the service. I'll give it 2.5 starts as the samosas were good.

Amazing Indian food! - Edit
Had a whole 2 pages of vegan options- I tried the vegetable vindaloo and veg pakora and both were outstanding! Vegetable vindaloo was perfectly spicy. Pakora came with a mint chutney that was delicious.

Amazing Aloo Palak! - Edit
I used to live across the street from here years ago and have no idea why I didn’t come here more often. I was so impressed with the vegan menu and the prices for value. The aloo palak and roti were some of the best I’ve ever had and I’ve been to India. I got a huge dish of aloo palak and big roti for only 11,000 won which is a total steal! Super impressed. A lot of people say the lady there isn’t friendly but she was pleasant to me.

Yum! - Edit
Finally tried Jyoti! I ordered off shuttle and everything I got was delicious. Ghee makes me nervous at Indian restaurants so I totally appreciate a place that labels their vegan options.

super tasty aloo palak - Edit
the venue is suitable for quite large numbers of people(in case of us, 6). it is not a vegan restaurant but there are various options available on vegan menu section. spinach vegan cream curry was savory and creamy, enjoyed it with basmati rice. everybody's happy as the restaurant has large selections of dishes and drinks.

Perfect curry - Edit
I had the Aloo Gobi and the Vada Fried here, and they were both excellent! The Aloo Gobi was especially good, my favourite curry I've tried anywhere, to be honest. The prices are reasonable too. Very nice that there's a specific, well-labeled vegan section in the menu.

Really tasty! Staff was really thoughtful :) - Edit
Had a nice stay! The staff was maybe not the most outgoing person but the service was on point. When we ordered from the vegan menu, she asked to make clear that we are vegan. Shortly after that my friend who is vegetarian ordered a Garlic naan and the stuff kindly informed us that it‘s not vegan and if we still want it. Really thoughtful 😊
Read moreThe Aloo Gobi was delicious but more spicy then expected.
In contrast to that was the Dal tadka less spicy then expected after it was announced on the menu as „mild spicy“. But also really really good 😊
The basmati rice was also on point.
I’ll come back to try more dishes 😊
Pros: Clearly marked vegan dishes, Delicious

Great place with clear vegan menu - Edit
Ordered two curries and an appetizer. Food was delicious and the service was good. Decor was nice and colorful without feeling too in the face. Located on the third floor of the building.

Very good experience - Edit
There was a clearly demarcated vegan section in the menu and all of the items were described both in English and Korean.
Read moreI went there with a vegetarian and a carnivore friend and there were a good number of options for each of us. We ordered a few curries and some bread. Unfortunately the naan wasn't vegan but the roti that I had instead was quite nice and balanced out the flavourful curry in a very complimentary way.
I am still new to Korean currency but I feel the pricing was fair and less expensive when compared to some other places I have been to. There only seemed to be one server when we went there so they were quite busy but they were very nice in answering any questions we had. The food arrived way more quickly than I was expecting.
Overall a really nice experience!

Go to curry - Edit
Seoul is known for disappointingly sweet "Indian" curry so Jyoti really stands out as a place you can avoid the sweet curries but also has a Vegan Menu.
Read moreWe had 3 curries and all were good... great, if compared to the other Indian places in Seoul.
We did not have problems with service. The place does alot of delivery orders so even if they dont look full they are possibly busy with online orders. Prices are also very fair.

Delicious food, mediocre service - Edit
The food is seriously delicious. The curry, the naan,... everything I tried I loved. I go there for the food, not for the atmosphere which is underwhelming and the service is not very friendly. But it is worth coming for the curry alone.

Vegan Menu clearly labeled - Edit
They have a page especially for vegan items so it's easy to find something to order. The staff is friendly and the place can accomodate big groups. It's a conveninent restaurant to go when eating out with non-vegan people.

Delicious food, but poor service - Edit
Take Sinchon Exit 5 and simply follow the great smell around the corner.
Read moreThey really know how to cook. They have a vegan side in the menu, but you still have to specify, that you want that dish in particular to be vegan.
Why 3/5?
I often came here alone for dinner, but I did not feel welcomed at all. The service felt very mechanical and not warm-hearted or kind. This really distorts the whole atmosphere when eating there.
Pros: Vegan menu , Bollywood on TV
Cons: Specify that you are vegan , Bollywood on TV

Really good food, poor service - Edit
The food was delicious and pretty cheap compared to some other indian places in Korea. However, we waited for 1.5 hour to get our food and we all got it separated. In the end, it was defintly worth the wait. I do think that is was super busy that night with a few very big groups so that might explain why it was a little chaotic.

Make sure to say vegan! - Edit
I had mixed vegetable curry(9000 won) with basmati rice(4000 won). The price was a little steep; similar to most indian restaurants in Seoul.
Read moreYou should make it clear that you're vegan and you don't eat meat, cheese, dairy, cream, etc.
I told the server that I was vegan, but he recommended me a curry with cottage cheese...haha be ware.
Otherwise, the taste was great and I loved the location! So close to Sinchon Station.

Good food, bad service - Edit
I would've given this place 4 stars, because the food is really good. However, when I went, I had the worst service I have ever had. I do not say this lightly.
Read moreI will reiterate that the food is good, and there are some vegan options (they are not marked; you will have to talk to the server, but at least the Mixed Vegetable curry is vegan). I think it is decently priced, but you do have to add rice separately if you get curry, so that can add to the bill. I got delivery from here (through Shuttle Delivery) a couple times after initially going, because I liked the food, but did not want to go back to the restaurant because of the service.
However, our server was actively antagonistic toward us. She literally threw menus down on tables, did not listen to my questions (I had to ask repeatedly, in both Korean and English before I got a response), would not help me with my dietary restrictions, let out an audible "arrrgh!" every time the phone rang (I am serious), and when anyone paid the bill, she did not speak to them but just put the receipt down in front of them to read. I do not want to rant, but she made me feel uncomfortable to the point that I will not go back there.
Previous reviews said they had good service, so this may be a fluke, but I cannot in good conscience give this restaurant a good review.
Pros: Good food, Easy to find
Cons: Horrible service

A real Indian treat, just a few steps from Sinchon station - Edit
This lovely restaurant is located on the third floor of a building which faces Sinchon station. I ordered chana masala with rice and specified that I don't want any cheese or cream in my dish. I was relieved to hear the waiter repeating my request to the ears of the cook and indeed, I got exactly what I wished for. It was so delicious and filling, and very mildly spicy. Highly recommended!

Best Vegan friendly Restaurant in Seoul -Jyoti - Edit
My favorite vegan friendly restaurant in Seoul . The food , veggies are fresh and delicious. (You have to mentioned while order about vegan ), they actually prepare according to your choices. There are a variety of vegetable curries on the menu . The services are good and prices are reasonable. They are located in sinchon station at exit 5 and chungmouro station in exit 1 , go straight to SK petrol pump , go behind of SK and take a first left , just few blocks in 2F.
