It looked like decent portion sizes, but was actually still hungry after salad and dessert. Tasty, but could be seasoned more. The banana parfait was very nice!

Visited DCA for lunch for the first time in a while. They have a smaller menu than they did pre covid but it was good to see 3/4 vegan options and a few more veggie ones. I got a meze platter which was really tasty and filling, the falafels were great.

you have to ask for the Vegan menu but it's definitely worth it.three starters and three mains followed with two deserts, and a host of drinks.having just been the he Dundee vegan festival I was starving and headed to jute at the CCA and it was worth it. I had a train to catch so only had time for a main. I opted for he chargrilled aubergine ragout, featuring chickpea and tomato. it's was nice and smoky with a reduced balsamic adding a cheeky wee bit of sweetness. accompanied with lemon couscous and pitta it was well balanced and filling.a great option if you're in Dundee.

starters we great mains were pretty gash. salas with lumps of carrot? a step backward, starters were both great though, hence 3 star.

Disappointing (Worst "Jackfruit" Tacos Experience) - Edit
We went to Jute Cafe 3 years ago and had a really lovely experience, I remember we had risotto and something else. Both meals were really good.
Read moreSo we thought, hey let's go back this year, which we did, in May. We had the 5 bean chilli jackfruit tacos, and a burger. The burger was mediocre, but the tacos were a disaster. I didn't have any jackfruit in the tacos except for one tiny piece that tasted and looked like it wasn't prepared at all but just taken straight out of a can. Like, how is this even possible? I really hope that you will not serve this ever again to anybody the way you served it to us. You cannot call this dish "jackfruit tacos". The tacos themselves were mediocre, sadly wouldn't recommend eating at Jute cafe. Hope you guys will make the place better for vegans again!
The staff member who served us was really nice and gave us a 10% discount on the taco dish when we told them about it. I really don't like complaining, but I don't want this to happen again to anybody. Jackfruit is quite delicious when you actually add it in your dish and marinate & cook it beforehand!

This is a great restaurant inside the DCA (which is a very recommendable contemporary arts exhibition space) with a modern but pleasant atmosphere and a large vegan menu. The food is excellent and so is the drink selection (many nice beers from tap).

Good staff, but no vegan breakfast options - Edit
Popped in for brunch and asked for the vegan menu. Waitress informed me the vegan menu isn't served til 12. She understood my needs though and suggested an off-menu spinach and mushroom ciabatta, which was good :)

Went here last year with a friend. Had the wellington which was good. Salad starter was also good. Bit pricey but has a separate vegan menu.
