Family friendly restaurant with character - Edit
We came here with a large group recently, including a lot of omnivores and they were exceptionally accommodating. The vegan menu has about five entrees. We tried both the fajitas and the enchiladas. Of the two, the enchiladas were a little better because of the excellent mole sauce. The portions were hearty, and my kids enjoyed the Mexican pineapple soda.

Pros: Very friendly staff, Murals, Vegan Menu
Cons: Some dishes were a little bland

Great Mexican - Edit
I find it hard to find Mexican places that have vegan options. Normally I have to ask for no cheese or cream etc and hope it comes out right, so loved they had a separate section. I thought the food was great. Had to ask for the vegan menu.

Don't go out of your way - Edit
I wouldn't make a special trip here. The entrees are basically all variations of the same thing- bland, unseasoned

Knowledgeable about dietary requirements - Edit
No lard worries in this Mexican spot. Friendly and dietary sensitivity make this place a pleasure. Oh, the food is good too.

BYOB with small but varied vegan menu - Edit
Eight vegan items include an appetizer (not counting the complimentary chips and salsa), a salad entrée, and six hot entrées. I enjoyed the vegan enchiladas — three corn tortillas stuffed with veggies, lots of good mole sauce overtop, and tasty black beans and rice on the side. Quite good. The vegetables were fresh and cooked just right, al dente. Generous portions; after having loaded up on homemade chips and salsa, I had to ask for a box to take half the main meal home, which made an excellent microwaved lunch the next day. The restaurant has colorful wood-paneled Mexico-themed decor, bright with wall-to-wall windows and views of the street scene, a pleasant atmosphere, and attentive, efficient service. If you want beer or wine with your meal, there's a handy beverage store across Monmouth Street one block west (left).
