Basic place offering a large variety of dishes that are vegan by default, but egg can be added. English menu available. Open Mon-Sat 10:30am-2:30pm, 4:30pm-8:00pm.
Hidden within a busy street, this gem of a vegetarian and vegan (!) restaurant might tickle your taste buds. The food was delicious and there were plenty of options. Additionally, there was a free and unlimited soup and cold tea refill. The lady at the register was very friendly and tried her best speaking English. 5/5 would visit again
I had veggie 'oysters' (very nice), a noodle dish with sauce (decent but a little greasy) and 'laver' soup (which I didn't enjoy but those who enjoy sea flavours might like it). There is free soup (a simple broth) available for anyone who wants it.
The owner is friendly and can guide you through the menu. The restaurant is extremely cheap - I believe we both paid less than 400 NT$ for our meals between us.
The restaurant is a bit of a walk out of the main downtown area - not the nicest area. It's also a bit grubby and exposed - we sat a rat running past while eating.
