Dough-licious - Edit
The pizza base was really good. Thin crust. Can add any topping to the vegan margarita and vegan cheese to Mediterranean veg. Could do with some vegan beers as none of the Snowdon brewery ones are vegan. Not sure about desserts as we didn't see the menu. Staff excellent and helpful

Cheeeeeese 😍 - Edit
Best vegan margherita I think I’ve had! Garlic bread is also vegan as they use garlic oil. Only pro would be a vegan pepperoni or meat sub option (but that’s just my opinion!) Yum 😋

There were a couple of vegan options, mostly just margherita or vegetables. It tasted good but nothing too special. They do gluten free bases though!

Had a lovely time here, the staff were very welcoming and the food was fantastic, but there weren’t many vegan options so you may be limited for choice.

Some good vegan choices - Edit
I had a delicious primavera pizza with vegan cheese and struggled to finish it, alongside a substantial salad and fries (oven cooked to avoid potential contamination from the fryer). We were lucky to get a table (on a Wednesday) so probably worth booking as it’s very popular with both locals and tourists. A range of pizzas on the menu are available as vegan options and the staff are really helpful.

Tasty vegan pizza - Edit
We visited in September 2020 and enjoyed being able to order a vegan pizza with no hassle and with no extra charge for vegan cheese. The cheese was plentiful so if you're not a big cheese fan maybe ask for less cheese.

Good pizza, nice atmosphere - Edit
Pizza was great. A little too over-cheesed (I'm not a huge vegan cheese fan, would usually go for a chili oil over cheese substitute) however base was perfect, and roasted veggies and pine nuts lovely.
Read moreNice atmosphere, relaxed and with seemingly pretty alternative friendly staff is a win in my book.
Prices reasonable- med veg vegan cheese pizza £9.25, olives £2.50 (a little average but whatever, they're olives), Palomino IPA bottle £4.25 (NICE!)
Pros: Staff very friendly, Great decor, Good beer!
Cons: Would like a little more vegan focus

Lovely friendly staff. They will make your pizza up for you using vegan cheese. I had tomatoes, onions, peppers and pineapple. Lovely crispy base. It was delicious and the cheese was gorgeous and very melty. 100% recommended. Reasonable price too.

Must try pizza. Shame there’s not much else. - Edit
Let’s get the pizza out of the way. It. Is. Awesome. Wood fired pizza has always been my preferred method of cooking a pizza and the staff know what they’re doing in that department. The limited choice here doesn’t bother me too much when you can add/remove from other pizzas (though of course, dedicated vegan options are always better) and a fair warning should go to anyone ordering the Mediterranean veg pizza that the topping is pre-mixed so you can’t remove anything like peppers. Which I happen to hate.
Read moreWhen the main dishes are of such a good standard, it’s natural to think this would apply to the sides - except, there aren’t really any and this is where the experience goes a little south for me. Whilst the pizza is quite filling (at least for me), having something I could share with my partner would have made this more of an experience but since we were just having pizza, we were in and out in about half an hour as we didn’t fancy pounding some more drinks. More choices are needed for vegans to make this a proper dine-in experience.
Pros: Very high quality pizza , Fair pricing , Speedy service
Cons: Limited options

Johnny Dough’s suited our group of vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters. The menu perhaps isn’t huge (just pizzas, funnily enough) and could have done with a couple more options to suit vegans.Though you can add vegan cheese to any of the veggie options, there was only really one that worked without losing key ingredients (e.g. goats cheese).

No vegan cheese - Edit
Was looking forward to visiting Johnny Dough's whilst on holiday in Llandudno. I asked the waitress if the vegan pizzas were available, she said they were so ordered a Mediterranean Pizza and a drink. Got the drink but was then told they had no vegan cheese, ended up having a pizza base with just tomato sauce and veg and still had to pay full price. So disappointing, having read reviews on other websites it seems that this happens quite often.
