Vegan/veg options & reasonably priced - Edit
Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. Reasonably priced - compared to pizza spots with vegan options in SD proper. We tried the 8 inch vegan BBQ pizza and individual sized vegan supreme calzone. Both were about $10 each and the perfect size for one person each. Would def come back again when I’m in the area.

Every time I visit family, I make sure to get a pizza from here. They have a whole section full of pizzas that are vegan! The Ranchera is DELICIOUS!! Like, beans?? On pizza?? Who knew that’d be so good?? I also have many good memories from when I lived here with friends and family associated with this pizza place, and coming back makes me so happy.

This pizza was decent. It had a good amount of vegan cheese, but the other ingredients were sparse at best. Also, the fresh garlic was missing and red sauce was kinda bland. The big price did not meet what I got.

I had just arrived at the Thousand Trails RV park in the hills east of San Diego a few hours earlier after a day of driving from Phoenix... set up at the park and spun into town starving hungry looking to hit up the Trader Joes and saw this place on the way (didn't even find it on Happy Cow first, which is a first) and what a great surprise it was! They went out of their way to answer my questions, actually I only asked a couple and they had a lot to say about their vegan options, they were VERY excited about it!

It's taken me time to enjoy vegan cheese, I won't pretend I think it's the same as having regular mozzarella used to be in my pre vegan days but you know... this was a great pizza.
Loved the ambience too, for a small little strip mall style spot, it was trendy. They played a Cut Copy playlist the whole time I was there and I got to munch on my pie while listening to Lights and Music.
Really loved it, would go back/recommend.

Sleeper vegan pizza! - Edit
We’ve made Joe and Ernie’s a weekly thing. We’ve been pleasantly surprised by how good their vegan options are, especially for a place that isn’t entirely vegan in their menu. The mango habanero pizza is very good, as is their vegan meat lovers. Their gluten free crust is also quite tasty.

Great Pizza - Edit
Shout out to Joe & Ernie's Pizzeria for accommodating my special request and selling me an uncooked vegan pizza. We had a semi-impromptu family gathering and the plan was to order pizza for dinner. Joe & Ernie’s has a pretty amazing vegan pizza menu (along with regular pizzas) so I called them asking if they could accommodate my request. I wanted to be able to cook my pizza at home when the rest of the family would be eating so I could have fresh pizza as well. They were more than happy to accommodate my request so I made the drive up to Eastlake to pick up my pizza and was able to enjoy a fresh & hot meal with the family. I ordered the vegan supreme and it was awesome. Give them a try the next time you’re in the mood for pizza!

Solid vegan menu - Edit
We’ve watched this small business add to their Vegan option over the past couple of years and it’s been exciting! My go to is the Vegan ranchera and my husband is a Soyrizo fiend so of course that’s his pick. There’s also Vegan options in the Calzone section which honestly I can’t tell you if I love the calzone or pizza better.

But obviously most importantly the pizza tastes really good! Some might consider it costly but you’re paying for quality.
