Buffet

Large vegetarian buffet restaurant located upstairs, and signs are in Chinese only. If unsure where to find it, ask someone in one of the convenience stores at street level.

Excellent Buffet

A great buffet. Full of Chinese vegan scrumptiousness. Just use Amaps or Baidu to find it and look at all the restaurants on the ground floor wishing they had as many customers as the vegos upstairs.

Fantastic food and people!

This restaurant is fantastic & a great find in Chang'an!

Vegan and vegetarian food is not an easy find in this city. Weary traveler fear not. These guys have it covered.

Jimgyixin Vegetarian is located above a couple restaurants and a convenience store directly behind the Wanda Plaza. It can be a little tricky to find. If you're not too sure where it is ask the convenience store clerk and they will pointed out for you. (Google translate is my friend!) You can also identify the restaurant by looking up for its sign. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of that (I would've posted it). The sign has a picture of a green leaf inside of a triangle. Venture up the stairs and you will find the restaurant.

The restaurant itself is a large eating space around a fairly sizable buffet with a large selection of items that change daily. The staff at the restaurant believe in promoting healthy life through vegetarian diet. It's shown in the dishes that they choose. If you like Chinese junk food, you'll probably want to go somewhere else. That said, there is an excellent selection of soups, main dishes, vegetable dishes, even some fried stuff, and an excellent spread of desserts.

The staff there are super friendly. I don't think I received as many smiles in one place on my trip to China as I did there. That said, none of the staff really speak English. However, Google translate was great to cut through the language barrier. On my last day in town we must've conversed for an hour via translation applications. It was totally clear to me that these people not only love what they do, but also love humanity and are just a fun group of people trying to make the world a better place.

All in all Jingyixin Vegetarian is a great place to eat, A relaxing place to hang out, in a good place to meet some local people. I won't hesitate to come back next time I'm in town. In fact, I can't wait to come back.

Pros: Fantastic food with lots of choices, Great friendly staff, Very affordable - ¥20

Cons: It's a little hard to find. Just find the Wanda Pl, Tiny language barrier, not a big issue since it is
