Good food, no choice though - Edit
You can only get a set menu, which is 68 rmb per person. Food is traditional Chinese and flavorful, though not everything was really my thing. But I ate things I never had before so that’s cool!

So at the end I had very spicy delicious food, but nothing I would have ordered.

Big eatery by the West Lake - Edit
A welcome spot for lunch, away from the (festival day) West Lake crowds. Set menus of all vegan food. We had to wait for a bit to be seated because it was such a busy day (Qingming festival), but it was well-organised and efficient. All the dishes were delicious.

Tasty food near Pagoda - Edit
Great place with welcoming staff and tasty food. You do not order seperate dishes, but 'sets' for e.g. a set for two. It is a little pricier than typical, but totally acceptable.

A little pricey but a fantastic meal - Edit
The food here was a little pricier than some other places, but we had one of the set meals and it was a delicious and luxurious feeling meal.

Nice soup - Edit
I cant speak any Chinese so the woman ordered for me. The soup was nice and the staff friendly. The toilets are out the back and when I left I accidentally ended up in the temple next door free of charge

I loved it - Edit
Minimalist menu with 5 noodle bowls. The food is fast. It's self-service you get your food in a cute wodden tray at the kitchen counter when your number rings.

Great food - Edit
We ordered two noodle bowls and they were really tasty with clean ingredients and no artificial flavourings. It's also quite cheap and the restaurant looks pretty stylish.

Atmospheric buddhist noodle place - Edit
This lovely eatery sits beside Jingci Temple (which is directly opposite the famous Leifeng Pagoda beside the West Lake).
Read moreThey serve a selection of wholesome vegan noodle soups at a reasonable price of around 27 yuan for a large bowl along with a small side dish.
A helpful English-speaking monk assisted us with our order, and we dined in the very zen-like atmosphere with the other monks also enjoying their evening meals nearby.
We definately enjoyed our meal and would go back again.
Pros: great atmosphere, close to scenic spots, wholesome meals
Cons: only serve noodle soups
