More than just a pretty face

This was our first “official” visit to Ojai after living in California for over 60 years and never having visited this quiet mountain community just north of LA. We came here to our first “post COVID” concert and when we arrived we asked our hotel clerk about restaurants with vegan options (and a full bar! 😄)

He recommended Jim and Bob’s and we weren’t disappointed in the least. First, they have table service which is wonderful, and they have a full bar with wonderful top shelf bourbons and tequilas.

The menu options were varied with breakfasts, sandwiches, burgers, finger foods and a wide variety of Mexican foods including grilled veggie tacos, potato tacos and tostadas, etc.

They use NO lard or chicken stock in any of their cooking so even the rice is safe for vegans and their menu has a * indicating vegetarian or vegan option. Anything can be done vegan if you order without cheese.

Definitely a great find and affordable prices.

Cons: No vegan cheese options
